# ON THE EIGHTH NIGHT

***Sheherazade said:***

After a month passed in this way, she fell into the pain of languor, which increased day by day and worsened and caused that at the end of fifty days, she ended up expiring and becoming an elect of the 'other world.

So I made all the preparations for her funeral, and laid her in the ground myself, and had all the ceremonies carried out which serve as a closure for the burial, and I spared no expense of money. After which I returned from the cemetery and entered the house and examined all the legacies and gifts she had made to me; and I saw that she had indeed left me much wealth, property and buildings, and, among other things, great stores full of sesame seeds. And it is precisely this sesame that I charged you to sell for me, O my lord, and for which you were kind enough to accept the low brokerage which is below your merits.

As for the absences that I made and which you may have been surprised at, I made them because I had to liquidate all the things she had left me and now I'm barely at the end of my cash flow and the like.

I, therefore, beg you not to refuse the gratification that I want to make you, O you who thus give me hospitality in the house and make me share your meal. You will therefore oblige me by accepting from me all the money that you have kept for me at home and that you have received from the sale you have made of the sesame seeds.

And such is my story and the cause that I always eat with my left hand!"

Then I, O mighty king, say to the young man: “Truly, you fill me with your benefits and your favors!" And he answered me: “It is nothing! Now, lord broker, will you join me and accompany me to my country, to Baghdad? I have just made large purchases of goods from Alexandria and Cairo, which I plan to resell with high profits in Baghdad. Do you want to be my companion and my partner in profit?" And I answered: "Your desire is an order!" Then I gave him the end of the month as the date of our departure.

During this time, I busied myself selling all my properties without losing anything; and, with the money which I got out of it, I also bought goods, and I left with the young man for Baghdad, his country, and from there, with a very large profit and other goods, we made the journey to this country, which is your empire, O king of ages!

As for the young man, he was not long in selling his wares here and setting out again for Egypt, where he preceded me and where I was going to join him, when, that night which has just passed, I had this adventure with the hunchback, which is due to my ignorance of this country, where I am only a foreigner who travels for business.

And such is, O king of the centuries, the story which I believe to be more extraordinary than that of the hunchback!"

But the king replied: "No! I can't find it! It is not so marvelous as that, your story, O broker! So I am going to have you all hanged immediately, to punish you for the crime committed on the person of my jester, this poor hunchback whom you killed!"

Wow! I never expected this. The ending of the story was really surprising.

The reply of the king wasn't anticipated. It's quite surprising how events suddenly take a different twist.

We can't conclude yet, till we see the next episode. Who knows, perhaps mercy will prevail, and judgement halted. But in all, I do not blame the king for his decision. He was really pained and hurt by the situation.

All we can do is watch and wait for the next episode. Nice one 💯✨

After reading today's story I would like to say that yesterday we were all very saddened by the death of this girl and we see that this young boy is also very saddened. When a person takes any sorrow on his heart, then in the same way it becomes difficult for him to survive in this world. 




And one thing is also true that a man does not die with the dead he has to live his life with the help of their memories so as we have seen this young boy has found that broker. You go on my city with me and we will do a lot of work there. This will reduce your suffering. 





The way all these people are telling the story to the king and the person who died will eat the fish and the king will make his decision. The guy was saying that we will buy things from here because things are cheaper here and sell them in my city and we will make a very good profit. 





The story has become very interesting in the upcoming episode we will know what the King decides.

The king did not find the story of the one-armed Christian as extraordinary as that of the hunchback and I certainly have to agree with him. It's not a bad story at all but it's not better than the previous one.
We will see how they manage to get rid of the penalty since the king still wants to hang them for the death of the hunchback.

Haha... The Sultan is right. 

Yes, we have learned about the young man and his experiences in the town. And how why he trusted him with his sesame seeds and the money from the sales and kept delaying receiving the agreed payment. 

And it's a good thing they agreed to be business partners and the Young Man allowed the merchant to keep the money he made from the proceeds. 
 
But this story does not befit the situation at hand.  

The hunchbacked man did not steal anything, did not have his hands cut off, did not marry a young kind woman, did not sell sesame seeds, did not eat with his left hand, so this story of the young lad without a right arm is not encouraging at all to stop the king from punishing the offenders .... So we are going to need another story.... Hehehehe

>Your love for me drove you mad, I see, and made you spend all your money on me.

I caught up on the last episode and my heart broke as I read the beautiful woman's lamentations. Truly she loved the young man and would not have wished for his hand to be cut off because of her. It's heartwarming that the feeling was not unrequited but mutual between the two. I think it shows how generous the man is, willing to go to any lengths to make his woman comfortable. 

It's sad that she died from the pain of mourning the man's hand. The state of our mind is very important. I think if the young man had persuaded her more to stop worrying and stressing about the loss of his right hand, she may have lived. He becomes rich after marrying her and inheriting her wealth.

The Christian broker is lucky to have met this man and also his integrity paved way for him to travel with the man on business. Too bad the issue of the hunchback got in his way and he became wrapped up in the brouhaha! But why would he think the young man's story is as good as the hunchback's? The hunchback's story is one of marvel where several people 'killed' him but did not realise he was already dead. That's a mystery! I hope there would be an intervention to save these people from hanging! I look forward to the next chapter. Thanks for sharing. 😊
