Months without playing | The importance of playing and not stopping

*How about gamers? I haven't been here for a while! But, I was extremely busy, and as the title says, playing has become impossible for me in recent months. Something that I have not stopped doing is claiming the free games in the Epic Game Store, every Thursday I religiously try to claim the free games. But well, let's talk about not playing, how I'm getting back into it, and what has saved me. A bit crazy topic? But it's like that, I suppose we've all had those periods in our lives where playing is saying "I'm going to set aside time for" and sometimes it doesn't even happen.*

It's strange and you don't realize when you start playing again you don't really realize how much you needed it and how much you missed it, it even begins to awaken the fever of the game in you again (I love it) I think some will identify with it this feeling. 

Sometimes we are so immersed in routine and work that we do not realize that we leave aside things that we really like and are passionate about (like video games) more or less it has been like 4-5 months of practically having zero hours game or none at all (never allow it, you should always have time to play) and this hurts your brain.

There are not one but millions of studies that talk about the benefits of video games on the human mind, such as; preservation of memory, agility, reflexes, care of cognitive processes, etc. As well as the wonders of recreational study to refresh the mind and creativity for very demanding jobs.
  
But beyond that, these days I had to go to a medical appointment to accompany a family member, during the waiting time I had my arcade cell phone in my hands with a GBA emulator with many games, and I started playing DK for GAB and Wow, how incredible, pure pixel art with two buttons and nothing more to give me excellent hours of waiting transformed into fun.

When I arrived I said to myself "I have to start playing faithfully every day" Time passes, the games remain, and then? hours and hours of fun, incredible worlds, stories, and characters that have been forgotten. I have activated all my consoles, I returned to Nintendo and the Pokémon madness (the Pokémon bank is now free) I made a post this year if I remember correctly about it: read it here and now if you like Pokémon and you have a 3DS or DS and you downloaded With the bank you can do many incredible things.

I'm here, I like to come back, I like to play and always have time to, it's a post to rejoin, not to talk about any game in particular, but to say how good it is for me, how well it does and to tell you that Don't abandon your games, don't sell your consoles and enjoy every minute of gaming.

Recently, it has been time to time that I have had free time and yet for whatever reason I didn't have the "feeling" to play something, except for whatever reason when its like...2-3am and my brain gets stubborn by wanting to do anything but sleep (like, right now I'm playing Sonic World DX)...

It is great to try games again and enjoy old and new stuff (when I'm alone, because basically its a guaranteed for me to at least have a few chuckles if invited to play something with others), but whenever this drive sometimes vanishes for some reason, it always makes me feel weird that at the very least I could be using that dead time for that entertainment if I'm not doing anything important or doing another hobby (writing, drawing, editing, etc).

Right now it is late enough (3am) for me to be sort of stumped on what to write about this in particular right now despite how it sounds pretty relatable, but for now the most I can say is that I'm glad that to hear that you are able to enjoy games again :,)

I get you completely. I've recently gotten back into some pretty competitive(Read: Try hard) games, (Hunt: Showdown and Dota 2) and looking to get back into Counter-Strike for CS:2. There is a rush when the match gets to a critical point that is hard to reasonably explain when somebody wanders in and asks me why I was whooping in victory/terror. 

Sometimes it is difficult to find the time to game but I think the player appreciates that time more when they finally get to play.

There are times when it is unavoidable to pick up games. What’s important for me is similar to your point. Still find the time for yourself and take a break when needed. Whether it is gaming or sports. Or not doing anything and plainly relaxing, it is infinitely good to have a form of escape and relaxation.
