Musings XVII

<p>I finally found an opportunity to showcase this beautiful bomber jacket that was gifted to me by my lovely friend Berrit. I first met Berrit at @kommienezuspadt’s NOIR I LA event, which I helped to coordinate in 2016. It would have been great to document the entire event to share here on Steemit but that wasn’t a realistic idea.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I spent most of my day on the phone, checking e-mails, running out to guide clients into hair, makeup, and wardrobe. I took it upon myself to ensure that each and every person was taken care of and that everyone was running on time. There is obviously no way to control every aspect of an event when you factor in a collective group of individuals. The best way to approach it is with a quick mind for problem solving, a keen sense of intuition, and sincerity.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I first met Berrit I was actually in a silent panic. There was a slight delay in the schedule and I was unsure of how she’d handle the news. I’ve been apart of the service industry for quite some time so when I’m handling a major/minor slip then I never really know what cards I’ll be dealt.</p>

<p>Berrit surprised me by saying that she was fine hanging out and settled on taking a smoke outside on the patio. She was sweet when she reassured me that all was well- only asking to be called on when we were ready for her. She was so cool. I wanted to hung her. I left her momentarily to sprint around the estate to check on clients, the team and then reporting to @kommienezuspadt so that he was up to speed with current events- this of course is being done as he’s photographing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I returned to Berrit’s side and found myself greatly enjoying her company. I could tell from our initial meeting that she was an honest genuine person and I appreciate those qualities. We slipped into a relaxed conversation and I spent my first moments of the day enjoying the beautiful lush green setting around us.&nbsp;</p>

I think you'll find most models pretty laid back, and the ones who aren't shouldn't be immortalized in any medium😄 Don't stress to impress, cool confidence goes a long way..

Oh, I agree with you 100% The professional models that I have met are fantastic and work gets done fairly quickly. What causes me to worry so much is that most of the women who attend these events are first time models or it's a special treat to themselves. They need to be handled with care. Also you have to envision me running around not actually looking stressed because apparently I'm hard to read and I always look like I've got my shit together! 🤣

Its always cool when you meet someone and you easily slide into being comfortable, I find its a rare thing.

Really dig hair in first pic and expression in second pic.  Something cool about your hand in third picture to me but don't know what, think its the pose of it and how jacket partially covers it.

I also like the lipstick color a lot :)

It truly is. I've always thought that most introductions can feel a little too forced. 

We have very similar tastes! The hair, expression, and positioning of the hand were actually the reasons that they were chosen. I never really know what I'm gonna get until I open these images up on my computer but my final selections share similar attributes. 1.) balance and 2.) something that I find interesting which may not be obvious to others. 

I love dark lip colors in the fall. 💄🖤
