Greetings friends of Hive, today I want to tell you about a little sewing project that came to me today.


First I want to tell you that since I remember I see myself between sewing and sewing machines, my two grandmothers sewed and my paternal aunts also as well as my sisters and my mother, but I must recognize that I also had the timely guidance of a neighbor, Mrs. Carmen, who has been a seamstress all her life, She saw my interest and without me asking her she gave me advice and explained with love and dedication, I always remember that first she would ask me how I had done it and then she would tell me that it was very good and that for the next time I should do it the shortest way and she would explain the technique, I never felt criticized by her, on the contrary, she supported me and allowed me to continue.

>Primero quiero contarles que desde que recuerdo me veo entre costuras y máquinas de coser, mis dos abuelas cosían y mis tías paternas también al igual que mis hermanas y mi madre, pero debo reconocer que también tuve la orientación oportuna de una vecina, La señora Carmen, quien ha sido costurera toda su vida, ella veía mi interés  y sin que yo se lo pidiera me daba consejos y explicaba con mucho amor y dedicación, siempre recuerdo que primero me preguntaba cómo lo había hecho y luego me decía que estaba muy bien y que para la próxima lo hiciera por en camino más corto y me explicaba la técnica, jamás me sentí criticada por ella todo lo contrario si apoyo me permitió  continuar

A little anecdote... one rainy afternoon I was adjusting a pair of pants for me because they were about 3 sizes too big, without realizing I put my thumb in the machine and the needle went through it and came out with the thread...

I literally sewed my thumb was at the tip of the finger but it hurt a lot the anesthesia and then I had 3 stitches and a small scar that I just realized is almost imperceptible... but it did not erase my desire to sew. Another anecdote is that when I was studying at the pedagogical school I went out with my classmates to buy fabrics and then went home for lunch to make any shirt and returned in the afternoon to class premiering, many times my friends did not believe me until one day they chose the fabric and the model and I made my blouse and returned to class to admire my sewing work, I think that's when I realized that I liked to sew.

>Una pequeña anécdota... una tarde lluviosa me encontraba ajustando un pantalón para mí ya que me quedaba como 3 tallas más grande, sin darme cuenta metí el dedo pulgar en la máquina y la aguja lo atravesó  y salió con el hilo... literal me cosí el pulgar fue en la punta del dedo pero dolió mucho  la anestesia para luego tener 3 puntos de sutura y una pequeña cicatriz que acabo de darme cuenta ya está casi imperceptible... pero no se me borraron  las ganas de coser. Otro anécdota es que cuando estudiaba ya en el pedagógico salía con mis compañeras a comprar telas luego iba a casa a almorzar hacia cualquier camisa y  regresaba  en la tarde  a clases estrenando, muchas veces mis amigas no me creyeron hasta que un día escogieron la tela y el modelo y yo hice mi blusa y volví a clases para que admirarán mi trabajo de costura, creo que allí me di cuenta de que me gustaba coser.

I have a 3 year old niece and she lives right next door to my house, she is a beautiful, active girl and in order to channel her energy she attends dance classes every afternoon, she is only 2 weeks old but a problem has arisen.
 Every afternoon she attends dance classes, she is only 2 weeks old but already a problem has arisen, she refuses to attend because she does not have a skirt for practice, she says that her skirt should reach the floor....

I don't know what else to say, the obliging aunt came out, that's me hehehehehe.

For this project I used recycled material, it is a part of a curtain that I made a month ago but I removed a part of it because I had some fabric left over, a secret ....  actually the fabric is for dresses not for curtains but it was cheap and I liked the color, so I made my curtains. 
Once located the patchwork, I put less to work cutting the fabric on bias to give the desired amplitude, but it turns out that I had a miscalculation and proceeded to rectify being shorter, but solved by attaching a curly ruffle. really the model is so but I was skipping that step, once solved the problem and armed the entire skirt, iron with low temperature because the fabric is delicate and with much heat can be damaged. 
 
I delivered the skirt on time and it was received with the best smile by little Emi.

 todas las tarde a clases de danza, apenas tiene 2 semanas pero ya surgió un inconveniente, se niega asistir por falta de una falda para la práctica, ella dice que su falda debe llegar hasta el piso...
no sé diga más, salió la tía complaciente, es decir yo jejeje
para este proyecto utilice material de reciclaje, se trata de una parte de cortina que hice hace un mes pero que quite una parte porque me sobraba tela, un secreto....  realmente la tela es para vestidos no para cortinas pero estaba económica y el color me gustaba, así que confeccione mis cortinas. 
Una vez ubicado el retazo, puse menos a la obra cortando la tela en sesgo para dar la amplitud deseada, pero resulta que tuve un error de cálculo y procedí a rectificar  quedando más corta,  pero solucione anexando un ruedo rizado. realmente el modelo es así pero yo estaba saltando ese paso, una vez solucionado el problema y armada toda la falda, planche con temperatura baja ya que la tela es delicada y con mucho calor se puede dañar. 
 entregué a tiempo la falda y fue recibida con la mejor sonrisa por la pequeña Emi.

I would like to tell my little ritual to sew, first of all I get rid of any feelings or low energy, because although many do not believe me my machine is somehow linked to my energy and when I do not feel well she breaks down, I have many anecdotes about that.... Another thing I do is to wear comfortable clothes so that nothing disturbs me, a cool pajamas is the best considering that I live in a hot region, then I put a glass of water because there are fabrics that release fibers or lint and although it is not seen I feel that my throat dries out ... then I put my favorite music, all this allows me to work with harmony and that the result is the best. 
Sewing for me is an art, it also allows me to think, to analyze everything that happens to me in my day to day, sometimes I like to sew in the company of some clients, not with all ... but if she is a friend I love that they give me conversation while I do the magic .... if magic because I make others feel good with what they wear and for me it is the greatest gratification I can receive from those who are pleased with my work.

>Me gustaría contar mi pequeño ritual para coser, primeramente me desprendo de cualquier sentimiento o energía baja, porque aunque muchos no me crean mi máquina está de alguna forma ligada a mi energía y cuando no me siento bien ella se descompone, de eso tengo muchas anécdotas... otra cosa que hago es usar ropa cómoda para que nada me perturbe , una pijama fresca es lo mejor considerando que vivo en una región caliente,  seguidamente coloco un vaso de agua porque hay telas que sueltan fibras o pelusas y aunque no se vea siento que mi garganta se reseca... seguidamente coloco mi música favorita, todo esto me permite trabajar con armonía y que el resultado sea el mejor. 
Coser para mí es un arte, también permite pensar, analizar todo lo que me ocurre en mi día a día, en ocasiones me gusta coser en compañía de algunas clientas, no con todos ... pero si es amiga me encanta que me den conversación mientras yo hago la magia.... si magia porque hago que otros se sientan bien con lo que visten y para mí es la mayor gratificación que puedo recibir de quién se siente complacido con mi trabajo.
