Despite the fact that they are two completely distinct things, ability and effort are equally important when completing work in any sector. In order to attain the best results, it is imperative that we develop ourselves to the point where we can make sure to maximize both.

When we examine both sides closely, we learn that talent refers to the innate skills and abilities we possess, whereas handwork has to do with effort and pushing yourself to the limit so you can actually complete tasks as well as someone who is talented in them would.




The question posed by the topic today asks us to consider which is more productive when we wish to carry out a specific activity or chores that call for productivity, therefore as I express my perspective on the matter, I will use an example from my own experience.

*Although I already had a good sense of style and color harmony, I can recall that throughout my apprenticeship I noticed that despite my intensive training from my employer, I was unable to execute the majority of the practices he provided us to a high standard like other would, I was disappointed by this because I thought that, given my innate abilities, I should have an advantage over each of my fellow apprentice.*



*However, he came to me during one of my depressive bouts as a result of my subpar performance and gave me a detailed and honest assessment of my personality. He acknowledged my talent and skill, but warned that all of it will likely be wasted if I don't put in extra effort to hone my current abilities. He added that if I could do that, I would be extremely proud of the results.*



*As a result of his guidance, I had a change of heart and began making a lot of effort. I now pay more attention to teaching and constant practice in whatever I do, which I partake in even when we are given the chance to take a little break, and from that point I started witnessing improvement in my job outcome aside from being able to design fantastic outfits.*

*And after taking his advice into consideration, I managed to finish projects more quickly while still producing something lovely. I learned my lesson the hard way, and ever since then, I never joke with putting effort into anything I do; regardless of what it is, I put my all into making it successful.*

The bottom line is that I've come to understand that talent is never really enough; in truth, talent is important and an instrument in getting things done, but it alone can't create a perfect and lasting impression, and that's where hard work comes in. With hard work, we tend to do more research, and via that, we can then channel our strength toward achieving the very best.
