Hola a todos. Si ayer estaba muy emocionado por haber logrado un ritmo de 4:51 en 5 kilómetros, entonces pueden tener una idea de cómo me siento hoy al lograr bajar ese registro a 4:44, consiguiendo además mi récord personal en esa distancia. Les cuento brevemente mi entrenamiento de hoy.



Salí más temprano que ayer, lo que favoreció mi rendimiento porque el clima estaba un poco más fresco. Las calles poco transitadas también contribuyen mucho a correr a un buen ritmo, porque no hay riesgo de tropezar a alguien durante el recorrido. Y, lo más importante, la motivación. El día domingo será la carrera oficial y quiero hacer una gran carrera, por lo que estoy aprovechando al máximo cada entrenamiento para probar las posibles estrategias para ese día. 




Hoy me enfoqué en la velocidad o ritmo, queriendo mantenerme por debajo de los 5 minutos en cada kilómetro. A diferencia de ayer, hoy sí estaba muy pendiente de la aplicación Strava para ver cómo iba con relación a la distancia y el tiempo. Tras el kilómetro 4, el cual conseguí en poco menos de 20 minutos, decidí darlo todo en el último kilómetro, logrando en ese un ritmo de 4:30, el mejor de los 5 kilómetros recorridos. Y tras recuperar el aliento fue que me di cuenta que había conseguido un nuevo récord personal en 5 kilómetros.


Me siento muy contento por el rendimiento de estos días y espero estar en óptimas condiciones para el domingo.

Hello everyone. If yesterday I was very excited about achieving a 4:51 5K pace, then you can get an idea of how I feel today by getting that time down to 4:44, also achieving my personal record for that distance. I'll tell you briefly about my training today.



I went out earlier than yesterday, which helped my performance because the weather was a bit cooler. The little busy streets also contribute a lot to run at a good pace, because there is no risk of tripping someone during the run. And, most importantly, the motivation. Sunday will be the official race and I want to have a great race, so I'm making the most of every training session to test possible strategies for that day.




Today I focused on speed or pace, wanting to stay under 5 minutes for each kilometer. Unlike yesterday, today I did keep a close eye on the Strava app to see how I was doing in relation to distance and time. After kilometer 4, which I achieved in just under 20 minutes, I decided to give it my all in the last kilometer, achieving in that one a 4:30 pace, the best of the 5 kilometers run. And after catching my breath I realized that I had set a new personal best for 5K.


I feel very happy for the performance of these days and I hope to be in top condition for Sunday.
