Hello friends of Hiveblog, I hope you are wonderful in this beautiful day. Today, I bring you another of the wonders of my country Venezuela: The Catatumbo Lightning which is located in the city of Maracaibo, and is considered a natural wonder.

**El relampago del Catatumbo debe su nombre a la gran cantidad de rayos que genera. Es el lugar con màs relàmpagos en el mundo y es considerado como uno de los cinco fenòmenos metereològicos naturales conocidos a nivel mundial ya que sus enormes rayos pueden alcanzar una altura de hasta 16 kilòmetros por hora. ¿Impresionante, cierto?**
The Catatumbo lightning owes its name to the large amount of lightning it generates. It is the place with more lightning in the world and is considered one of the five natural meteorological phenomena known worldwide because its enormous lightning can reach a height of up to 16 kilometers per hour. Impressive, isn't it?
**Este fenòmeno o maravilla natural se situa solo en la ciudad de Maracaibo en la zona sur. Se caracteriza por la apariciòn de una serie de relàmpagos en cadena que caen de manera continua en el lugar y se produce con mayor frecuencia desde el mes de mayo hasta noviembre. Esto se debe a dos factores muy importantes: La evaporaciòn que genera las aguas del lago y, las montañas de la cordillera del estado Mèrida que evitan que las nubes se desplacen. Al pasar esto, se concentra una cantidad de nubes que hacen que se produzcan estas descargas electricas desde el atardecer hasta el anochecer tan impresionantes.**
This phenomenon or natural wonder is located only in the city of Maracaibo in the southern zone. It is characterized by the appearance of a series of chain lightning strikes that fall continuously in the place and occurs more frequently from the month of May to November. This is due to two very important factors: The evaporation that generates the waters of the lake and, the mountains of the mountain range of the state of Merida that prevent the clouds from moving. When this happens, it concentrates a quantity of clouds that make these electric discharges occur from sunset to sunset so impressive.

According to the people who live near the place, most of the discharges occur in the early hours of the morning, and according to them it is the best time to take the best pictures of this natural wonder.
