Portrait Contest Week 14 - Desdoblarse: un autorretrato // To unfold: a self portrait

Aunque técnicamente este es un autorretrato, tenía tantas ganas de participar en el concurso desde hace tiempo y decidí hacerlo de una vez. 

Entonces aquí estamos hoy. Yo y mi reflejo. Espero que no estemos descalificadas.

Although technically it's a self-portrait, I've wanted to participate in this challenge for a long time and I decided to do it at once. 
So here we are today. Me and my reflection. I hope we're not disqualified.

Y disculpen que me refiera a mi misma en plural cuando nosotras somos una sola. Es extraño, no los culpo.

Yo también pienso en esa *otra.* Que cuando nacimos, nos separamos y que habitamos desde entonces, un solo cuerpo. Por eso ahora hablamos las dos por la misma boca y pensamos cada una, en la misma cabeza. 

Sin ser la misma la que habla o la misma la que piensa.

I also think about that *other.* When we were born, we separated and we have been living since then, a single body. That's why now we both speak with the same mouth and think in the same head. 
Without being the same that speaks or the same that thinks.

¿Qué pensará ella de mí cuando me mira a los ojos y yo me miro en ella? 

¿Cómo será el otro lado del espejo? 

Yo la he habitado, es cierto. Tal vez en sueños, tal vez cuando me quedo mirando fijamente ningún punto exacto. Y son tantas las veces, que a veces me sorprende encontrar su reflejo. Verle la cara donde va la mía. Encontrarla sentada donde va mi cuerpo.

What will the other side of the mirror be like? 
I have inhabited her, it's true. Maybe in dreams, maybe when I stare at no exact spot. And there are so many times, that sometimes I am surprised to find its reflection. To see her face where mine goes. To find her sitting where goes my body. 

Son otras las veces en que olemos flores o nos pega la brisa y nos sorprende la sensación de no ser más cada una separada. Se nos mezclan las voces. Se nos traduce el cuerpo. Y miramos el reflejo reencontradas. 

Pero volvemos y me olvido. La olvido. Me olvido, en verdad. Y dejo de saberla. 

¿Se olvidará ella? ¿Me habitará en sueños? ¿La sorprenderá encontrarme a mí en el espejo?

Yo nos tomé esta foto y nos dejé esta nota. Tal vez me responda ella cómo es ser mi reflejo.
