Very cool and interesting read!  I had always seen the various Nordic flags but didn't see them all in one spot. And it's really fascinating how Denmark had the influence on all the countries (seeing how small it is).  Thanks for the post!

My family and I actually had a conversation about this last week, i should direct them to this post the next time it comes up haha, very good read ; information is a commodity !

That's one good explanation. Never really thought about this until I saw it here, but it's always nice to gather some additional knowledge especially as I intend to travel to Scandinavia soon.

Aren't they all decendens of the Vikings? As in VI kings > the six lost kings of Isreal? I read it somewhere but don't know where. Could also be a reason why the flags are similar? 🤔

Thanks for the interesting post! I have wondered for a while, how did all the flags of the world's countries end up being rectangles - all horizontal rectangles which are the same proportions.  Why didn't some go with triangles? Circles? What gathering of all the countries decided on such things?
