**With Chrome 68, Google wanted to twist the neck of advertising tricks but it have not totally worked. The next browser's version planned for December should finally eradicate them.**

With the release of Chrome 71, Google has decided to harden the blocking of advertising tricks, a strategy that the company had already initiated a year ago with Chrome 68. 

Baptized [*"Abusive experience protection"*](https://blog.chromium.org/2017/11/expanding-user-protections-on-web.html), its idea was to fight against the drift of certain sites that force the Internet user to go to an advertising content with various means: 
* **pop-up windows** that we cannot delete easily
* **unwanted redirection**
* **untimely opening of tabs**
* **auto-play videos**
* etc.

**Unfortunately, this protection was not effective enough.** 

> *"In fact, more than half of these abusive experiences are not blocked by our current set of protections, and nearly all involve harmful or misleading ads. These ads trick users into clicking on them by pretending to be system warnings or “close” buttons that do not actually close the ad.

With the next version, Google make adjustments. The publisher promises that with Chrome 71, all these persistent deceits will now be blocked. Until of course smart guys find a new workaround ...
