Sleep did not knock on my eyelids again at night
To cheer myself up I looked out of the window
The moonlight, with her eyelids lowered
Saw her busy writing a poem
When she saw me
She quickly entered the room
She lay down on the bed without any hesitation
She had hundreds of poems to recite

I also had an excuse for not being able to sleep
We opened the bundle of poems the whole night
The conversations were soaked in velvety tears
In every mention of hers there was a story of the moon

Every poem of hers was just the face of the moon
This period of listening and reciting was good
While leaving she touched my silent eyelids
There was some attraction in her touch

There was some moisture in her eyes
She said, do you know the secret of the moon
She is also a very intelligent and orator
She is a fine weaver of love
She keeps her poems hidden from everyone
In which only your mention is there
Her I read dry eyes
In which every thought of yours resides
Go to sleep so that they too close their eyes
This night is quiet and time stops
