Happy 1st March (Baba Marta Day) 🍒

Neuer Monat, neues Glück!

Der Frühling naht und am 1. März wird in Bulgarien nach alter Tradition das Fest "Barba Marta" gefeiert, was so viel bedeutet wie "Großmutter März" und man schenkt sich einen kleinen rot-weißen Schmuck (Marteniza) wie diesen hier, den man als Ohr- oder Kleiderschmuck verwenden kann.

Spring is approaching and on March 1st in Bulgaria, according to an old tradition, the "Barba Marta" fest (Bulgarian for Granny March) is celebrated. People gift each other a small red and white piece of adornment (Martenitsa) like this one, which can be used as an ear or dress jewelry.
