How many BILLA Disney sticker packs do you need to collect to fill one sticker album? More than you think.
Wie viele Disney Sticker Packs muss man sammeln, um ein Sticker-Album vollzukriegen. Mehr als ihr denkt.

Bei Billa in Österreich (Rewe) gibt es derzeit eine Sticker-Sammel-Aktion.

Für je 10 Euro Einkauf bekommt man ein Sticker-Pack mit 4 Stickern gratis oder man kann die Packs auch einzeln für 0.50 EUR nachkaufen.

Ein Album kostet 2.99 und man braucht dann 180 Sticker, um das Album zu vervollständigen.

### Wie viele Packs braucht man, um das Album zu füllen?

Angenommen man würde in jedem Pack immer neue Sticker bekommen, die man noch nicht hat, dann würde man mindestens 45 Packs brauchen.

In der Realität bekommt man im Laufe der Zeit natürlich sehr viele Doppelte.

Hab mir jetzt mit einem kleinen Python-Programm ausgerechnet, wie viele Packs man sammeln müsste, um ein Album vollzukriegen.

Im Schnitt braucht man 258 Packs. (Annahme, alle Sticker kommen mit der selben Wahrscheinlichkeit vor, keine spezielle Verteilung Glitzer/Nicht-Glitzer Sticker, fairer Zufall).

Das ist schon heftig, mehr als ich dachte. Und wenn man Pech hat, braucht man noch mehr Packs.

Das würde bedeuten, dass man für 2500 Euro einkaufen gehen muss, um ein Album zu vervollständigen oder 130 Euro für die Sticker ausgeben muss, wenn man sie direkt kauft.

Andererseits könnte man auch viel günstiger aussteigen, wenn man doppelte Sticker tauscht oder tradet.

Manche Kunden verschenken die eigenen Packs auch.

Was sagt ihr dazu? Sammelt ihr auch gratis Disney Sticker?

The grocery store BILLA in Austria is currently running a sticker collection campaign.

For every 10 euro purchase you get a sticker pack with 4 stickers for free or you can buy the packs individually for 0.50 EUR.

An album costs 2.99 and you need 180 stickers to complete the album.

### How many packs do you need to fill the album?

Assuming you always get new stickers in every pack that you don't have yet, you would need at least 45 packs.

In reality, of course, you get a lot of duplicates over time.

I used a little Python program to work out how many packs you would need to collect to fill an album.

On average, you need 258 packs. (Assuming all stickers occur with the same probability, no special distribution of glitter/non-glitter stickers, fair chance).

That's quite a lot, more than I thought. And if you're unlucky, you'll need even more packs.

That would mean going shopping for 2500 euros to complete an album or spending 130 euros on the stickers if you buy them outright.

On the other hand, you could also get out much cheaper if you swap or trade duplicate stickers with other collectors.

Some customers also give away their own packs for free.

Teurer Spaß das Sticker Album. Dann sammel ich lieber Splinterlands, Woo und Rising Star NFTs und die neuen Spiele. Die kann man evtl wieder mit Gewinn weiter verkaufen.
