"Official Liker": This is how a dubious Facebook auto voting bot looks like 😂

So sieht ein dubioser Auto-Voting-Bot für Facebook aus 😂

"Official Liker" ist in etwa so offiziell wie die DDR offiziell eine Demokratie war. In Wirklichkeit versucht Facebook und andere zentralisierte soziale Medien gegen solche Bots vorzugehen, aber wie immer ist es ein Katz und Maus-Spiel. Wird ein Bot unschädlich gemacht, sprießt der nächste Bot woanders wieder empor.

"Official Liker" funktioniert in etwa so: man teilt seine Login-Credentials (Access Token) mit einer dubiosen Website. Es werden dann automatisiert Inhalte oder Pages von anderen Mitgliedern zufällig geliked und im Gegenzug liken die anderen Mitglieder auch Inhalte zurück. Es ist so zu sagen ein gegenseitiges Auto-Liken bzw. Circle-Jerking.

Der Bot finanziert sich über Werbung und über das Verkaufen von Likes an zahlungswillige Kunden. Auch Malware könnte im Spiel sein, wenn man zum Beispiel aufgefordert wird, eine dubiose Liker-Software zu installieren.

Dieses Problem betrifft nicht nur Facebook, sondern auch andere soziale Netzwerke wie Twitter oder Instagram.

This is how a dubious auto voting bot for Facebook looks like 😂

"Official Liker" is about as official as the "German Democratic Republic" was officially a democracy. In reality, Facebook and other centralized social media are trying to fight such bots, but as always it's a cat and mouse game. If a bot is neutralized, the next bot sprouts up somewhere else.

"Official Liker" works something like this: you share your login credentials (access token) with a dubious website. Then, content or pages from other members are automatically and randomly likened and in return other members of the liker network also liken back some of your content. It is so to say a mutual auto liker or what is known as circle jerking.

The bot is financed by ads and by selling Likes to paying users. Malware could also be involved, for example when you are asked to install some dubious liker software.

This problem affects not only Facebook but also other social networks such as Twitter or Instagram.

Hast du die Doku "Das Dilemma der sozialen Medien" gesehen? Wenn bei manchen Menschen (besonders bei jungen Menschen) die Zahl der Likes über das eigene Selbstbild entscheidet, wundert mich sowas leider nicht :(

Ja hab die Doku gesehen, ist echt irre, ich denke viele Likes vor allem auf kommerziellen Pages sind in Wahrheit gekaufte Likes nur wissen die meisten normalen User gar nicht, dass es Bots und Auto-Liker auf Facebook gibt und fühlen sich dann mies, da sie fast keine Likes bekommen.
