Good evening from Romania, fellow HIVE users and dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it! For today's second post here on my HIVE blog, I decided to share the personally re-made lyrics of one of my all time most favourite classic rock songs, more specifically the golden composition '<i>You Keep On Moving</i>' (which has a very special place in my soul).
'<i>You Keep On Moving</i>' is a song which is featured on Deep Purple's 1975 studio album '[Come Taste the Band](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_Taste_the_Band)' (one of their most finest, if you'd ask me, but, of course, I am very subjective here because I really like the short-lived David Coverdale-led era of Deep Purple during the mid 1970s).
David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes are the two vocalists on this track on the studio version which is, once again, in my humble opinion, fantastic, and, just as with the entire aforementioned studio album for that matter, had aged like wine and sounds absolutely exceptional, all the more as the listener ages as well.
This song has a very deep emotional impact on me (and it has had so for many, many years as I am very certain it will still have for many more to come), but it became so special to me that it obsessed me at times, to such an extent that I dearly wanted to modify it a bit (just like I did when I started writing lyrics by modifying the lyrics for 'Fade to Black', a great song featured on my all time most favourite Metallica studio album, more specifically 'Ride the Lightning' released in 1985 โ I wish I still had that remade version to this day, but unfortunately it got lost from the notes of my former iPhone 3G in the passing of time). So the day came where I decided to re-write and re-make 'You Keep On Moving' my way (as Frank Sinatra would put it), mainly just for the thrill of it, but also given its very important emotional valence it has on me (taking away the romantic element from it and focusing more in the contemporary reality I am living at the moment).
Anyway, that being said and without further needless ado on my behalf, I wholeheartedly recommend reading the re-made lyrics of 'You Keep On Moving' by me (which include both original lyrical material by Deep Purple, my lyrical additions, and re-arranged lines from the original studio version). I truly hope you'll like my lyrical remake, so to put it (and, who knows, I dream about getting in a professional studio one day and recording both the original version and my remade version on both lead vocals and on guitar, along with other instruments, why not?).
