Since I firstly integrally listened to Enya's debut self-titled studio album initially released in 1987 and then re-released in 1992 as 'The Celts', I've been fascinated by the meaning, the story, and the lyrics of the only Welsh song on it, more specifically 'Dan y Dŵr', which is Welsh for 'Under the Water'. 

After a short while, I looked more for the story of the song on the internet and have fortunately stumbled upon the following sad but real description on a [Slovak fansite dedicated to Enya](http://enya.sk/music/enya-the-celts/dan-y-dwr/):

<center><i>'Beneath the waters… the village [Capel Celyn](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capel_Celyn). This village in Wales was submerged, against much protest and struggle by its inhabitants, in order to accommodate a reservoir. This is a lament for the loss of Capel Celyn, memories now held beneath the water.'</i></center>
