Tools are a great thing to have. The access to the tools is not always guaranteed. The mind on the other hand is always accessible at every waking minute of your life. Learning to use your mind better and developing mental frameworks to think efficiently and make better decisions has tremendous compounding gains that last for year, decades and beyond.

### APR is Equally Distributed Across Those Who Stake GLX
This is an obvious statement, but combined with the above table it becomes and insight. 100 Million GLX is what is distributed across a period of 1 year. APR stands for Annual Percentage Rate.

### What is 100 Divided by 60?
After staking my own GLX (again) I'm looking at a 165% APR on the UI. This is very close to 1.66 taken as a percentage.__In other words, there is a simple formula to predict GLX APR.__

### GLX Released to The Market
Approximately 274,000 GLX is released everyday and a similar amount is released through staking rewards. This is 200 Million GLX in a single year. Other Token unlocks do not make a large difference to this 200 Million number. Not all Tokens are staked. Considering these factors it is possible to estimate the trajectory of GLX APR without using any sophisticated tools or mathematics.

What I did here can be easily summarized with the above example. I do this kind of estimation regularly. At times it is how I automatically react to the information that is presented to me. It saves time and resources that would require.

Think of the matters through the lens of pros and cons. The ability to have rough calculations in your head is useful and is accessible all the time. Having a more sophisticated tool can help with trades or decisions with a tight margin. It's not about having one over the other; but simply having more!

Create useful mental frameworks like this that can guide you in your investments and life. When GLX staking was first made available, there was no indication on the UI about the APR. __There were no tools available.__ After some waiting and looking around, I gained more insights through my research and figured out how to track and predict the future of APR with calculations a middle school student can easily perform.
