&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pensaba en qué escribir y justo escuché por la radio que hoy es el aniversario de Federico García Lorca, y bueno, ya que estoy en España por qué no hacerle mi propio homenaje.  

> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I was thinking about what to write and I just heard on the radio that today is the anniversary of Federico Garcia Lorca, and well, since I'm in Spain why not pay my own tribute to him.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Las diligencias se fueron con la lluvia, no pude hacer ninguna, el cielo abrió sus techos y el agua se vino hasta los nuestro, luego bajó a las calles como un espejo líquido que aprovechaba para hacer reflejos de la ciudad. Yo me quedé mirando como a través del agua se iba Palma hasta caer al mar, me pareció tan lindo ver al pueblo simultáneamente, yéndose al mar en el reflejo del agua y fijo en mis ojos que se enchumbaban al mirarlo bajo la lluvia.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The sky opened its roofs and the water came up to us, then it went down to the streets like a liquid mirror that took advantage to make reflections of the city. I was watching how Palma was going through the water until it fell into the sea, it seemed so nice to see the people simultaneously, going to the sea in the reflection of the water and fixed in my eyes that were wet when looking at it under the rain.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Es poética el agua cuando hace esas cosas, ¿cierto?
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;No supe de dónde había salido el hombre; hacía media hora que las calles estaban solitarias. No pudo haber caído del cielo, ni brotado de las paredes, pero no me pareció peligroso.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Tengo rato observándote. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dijo eso, se agachó cerca de mí y empezó a jugar con la corriente.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Conocí a una chica que tenía el don de traer a la realidad sus pensamientos poéticos.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Debió de ser una chica muy especial ─le dije. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Lo es. Se llama Violeta. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─¡Es una broma!, yo me llamo Violeta. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Y yo me llamo Federico García Lorca.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Sí, claro ¿y qué hace?
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Escribo poesía.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Ah, eso.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Es lo que hace un poeta, ¿no?
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Claro. Pero yo me refería a qué intenta conmigo.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Tú fuiste quien me invocó. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─¿Yo?
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─¡Claro!, pensaste poéticamente y aparecí.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─En serio usted quiere bromear bajo este palo de agua. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;─Si quieres me voy.

─Water is poetic when it does those things, isn't it?
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I didn't know where the man had come from; the streets had been deserted for half an hour. He couldn't have fallen from the sky, or sprung from the walls, but he didn't look dangerous to me.
─I've been watching him. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;He said that, crouched down near me and began to play with the current.
─I met a girl who had a gift for bringing her poetic thoughts into reality.
─She must be a very special girl ─I told her. 
─She is. Her name is Violet. 
─You're kidding, my name is Violet. 
─And my name is Federico García Lorca.
─Yes, of course, and what do you do?
─I write poetry.
─Ah, that.
─That's what a poet does, right?
─Of course. But I meant what do you intend to do with me?
─You're the one who summoned me. 
─Me?
─Of course, you thought poetically and I appeared.
─You seriously want to joke under this water stick. 
─If you want I'll leave.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Y se fue la lluvia y con ella el pueblo volvió a quedar sin reflejos. Yo volví a casa, encendí el televisor y por el noticiero hablaban que un 5 de  junio, pero de 1898 nació el poeta español Federico García Lorca. 

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ahora estoy escribiendo, pero me hace falta la lluvia para conectarme con el pensamiento poético que me trajo a Lorca esta mañana. Si voy al mar seguro sea más fácil invocarlo, si leo sus textos a lo mejor me escucha, pero qué digo, mi nombre es Violeta y tengo el don de traer a la realidad mis pensamientos poéticos,
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;ya viene, 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;lo escucho, 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;ya suena,
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;el techo,
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;la calle,
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;los reflejos,
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;la lluvia,
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;tocan el techo
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;y yo abro para recibirlo.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Now I am writing, but I need the rain to connect with the poetic thought that brought me to Lorca this morning. If I approach the sea maybe it will be easier to invoke him, if I read his texts maybe he will listen to me, but what do I say, my name is Violeta and I have the gift to bring my poetic thoughts to reality,
     &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;he comes,
     &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I listen to him,
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; he is sounding,
     &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;the ceiling,
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; the street,
     &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;the reflections,
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;the rain,
     &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;he touches the roof
     &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and I receive it.
