La animación ha pasado por distintas etapas de evolución, a lo largo de su historia en los cines, Disney siempre ha sido la reina total en este apartado desde tiempos de antaños, actualmente tiene la monopolización total en este sector, pero hubo un tiempo en la época de principios del 2000s y finales de los 90s, donde se estaba formando grandes estudios de animación, quien competirían con la gran corporación del ratón, grandes proyectos como Pixar y DreamWorks estaban saliendo a la luz en ese momentos, hasta que en 1995 llegaran dos películas que han significado un antes y después en esta industrial, El Rey Leon y Toy Story, hablaremos de esta última y su gran importancia para el cambio de perspectiva para la animación moderna.

Toy Story fue un film que salió del esfuerzo de un grupo que quería estar en contraparte a las ideas de Disney, y quería crear algo único e inigualable en su momento, así que de la mano John Lasseter en la dirección, y un grupo de guionista conformado por Joss Whedon, Andrew Stanton, Joel Cohen y Alec Sokolow, adicional del activo beneficio económico como productor de la cinta de Steve Jobs, cabe destacar que esta película sería la primera en la historia del cine, en hacerse totalmente con efectos digitales desde cero, un mérito gigantesco, porque a pesar de la tecnología de la época, esta sin duda fue una obra maestra para el cine moderno en su apartado técnico y visual, rompiendo totalmente los esquemas de la animación tradicional, método que utilizo Disney en su filme del Rey Leon, que contó con el doble de trabajadores que los que contaba el equipo de Pixar.

Pero esta obra no solo se vendió por este simple echo técnico, sino también porque contaba narrativamente con una historia que en primicia era simple, la cual sale de la mente de todo niño que fantaseaba con que algún día sus juguetes cobraran vida, esto es Toy Story, con esta base arrancamos con un film que en donde su mensaje más importante es el valor de la amistad, aquí entran nuestros dos protagonistas, Buddy, un vaquero quien era un famoso juguete en las épocas de antaño y por otra parte tenemos al juguete de moda del momento, Buzz Lightyear, un astronautas justiciero, que tiene  la misión principal de derrotar al malvado Zorc, la historia va de mostrarnos la vida de estos juguetes de la cual es propietario Andy un niño que para estos juguetes tienen como trabajo principal su entretenimiento, todo eso cambia cuando aparece Buzz en escena y cambia el favoritismo de nuestro querido Buddy por parte de Andy, luego de esto nuestro protagonista resulta olvidado, y he aquí cuando acontecen los sucesos principales de la trama.

Recuerdo las veces que he visto esta película, y vaya que son incontables las veces que ha llegado Toy Story a mi vida, pero que me llevo a traerla a acotación y hacerle una reseña, mi sobrino pequeño recientemente se la ha maratoneado y me llevo de nuevo esta cinta a mis recuerdos de niñez, analizándola ya desde una perspectiva muchísimo más adulta y a 26 años de su estreno en sala de cine, entendí que esta película dio un antes y después en la industria, sentó la base para que Pixar dominara al sector en cuanto al cine animado se refiere, algo que llevo a Disney su competencia en comprar todos los derechos del estudio, además de crear otras grandes obras maestra, como Coco, Up, Intensamente, Buscando a Nemo, Monster Inc, entre otras grandes obras que serían elogiada por la crítica, todo esto no hubiese sido posible sin que Toy Story existiera.

La cinta salió de las ideas un poco anticuadas de Disney, creo una historia enfocada para todo tipo de públicos, en donde se puede empatizar con todos los personajes, desde los protagonista como Buzz Y Budy, hasta los soldados de plásticos que vaya que tenían sus ocurrencias, todos los elementos en pantalla funcionaba a la perfección, hasta el villano de la cinta era alguien que a ojos del espectador, era solo otro niño con ciertos problemas a la construcción y tortura de juguetes, el tono y el sarcasmo de le cinta es evidente desde el primer minuto, hasta plantea situación ridículas viéndolas desde un juguete, pero que para un ser humano que vive y siente son perfectos sentimientos de envidia, dolor, traición, en fin una película que te invita a pensar fuera de la burbuja, factor que desde ese año con películas animada como el Rey Leon también empezaba a cambiar las perspectiva del cine animado.
