What is the craziest thing you have ever done for love? Undoubtedly our protagonist knows no limits, and gives everything to be reunited with her boyfriend who lives on the other side of the world. Don't worry, this is spoiler-free and I'll only tell you about the little that comes out in the trailer.

Xo, kitty It is a Netflix original series that combines the best of two styles: American teen series + kdrama. It tells the story of a teenage girl who applies to be a student at a boarding school in Seoul where her long-distance boyfriend studies and where she coincidentally discovered that her mom also studied when she was his age.

Apropos of the first question, the craziest thing you have ever done for love, I thought that by this point in the story I would have to rephrase to What is the craziest thing you have ever done for self-love? Since as soon as Kitty arrives at her homecoming dance she realizes that her perfect, adorable boyfriend has someone else? 

#

Alone, confused, heartbroken and with a big language gap, our expert in bringing couples together, Kitty experiences for the first time in her life what a breakup is like, but on the other side of the world, without friends, family or apparently anyone who understands her language. However something makes her decide to stay that year in Seoul and right there our story and this journey of self-discovery of the character, in which we the viewers have front row seats to see everything that happens.

One of the things I like most about the series is how it shows without any taboo the cultural differences, and what for some parts of the world is still something not accepted. Another point I liked is that for the first time in this trilogy of movies and this first season of the series the story is not focused on how to get the guy but there is much more to tell and that's great!

Now something to understand is that it is still a teen series with a plot of interest for that generation, however it is quite entertaining and extremely short. It has 10 episodes of about 20-30 minutes each, you can easily finish it in a weekend.

Another point in its favor is that in the series the characters speak both English and Korean, so it is quite entertaining to see the Asian actors speak in their native language. Something very interesting is the real age of the cast, the main character is 19 years old (something ok normal, not so far from her character) but the Korean artists are 27 and 30 years old!!! Undoubtedly, Korean skin care has its great fame for its incredible results. Although our antagonist Yuri does look much older than Kitty, she doesn't look her biological age of 30 either.

Do I recommend it? Mmm yes, it's perfect for hanging out, unwinding and unwinding. It has all the magic of a k-drama with American irreverence, so I give it a score of 7/10. If you've already seen it I left your opinion (without spoilers) in the comments below.

¿Qué es lo más loco que han hecho por amor? Sin duda nuestra protagonista no conoce de límites, y lo da todo por reencontrarse con su novio que vive al otro lado del mundo. Tranquilos esto es sin spoilers y solo les hablaré de lo poco que sale en el tráiler.

Xo, kitty Es una serie original de Netflix que combina lo mejor de dos estilos: las series de adolescentes americanas + los kdrama. Cuenta la historia de una adolescente que se postula para ser una estudiante de un internado en Seúl en el que estudia su novio a distancia y en el que casualmente descubrió que también estudió su mamá cuando tenía su edad.

Aproposito de la primer pregunta, lo más loco que han hecho por amor, creía que para este punto de la historia tenga que volver a replanteara a ¿Qué es lo más loco que han hecho por amor propio? Ya que apenas llega Kitty a su baile de bienvenido se da cuenta que su perfecto y adorable novio ¿Tiene a otra?

Sola, confundida, con el corazón roto y una gran brecha de idioma, nuetsra experta en unir parejas, Kitty experimenta por primera vez en su vida lo que es una ruptura pero al otro lado del mundo, sin amigos, ni su familia ni aparentemente nadie que entendiera su idioma. Sin embargo algo hace que se decida quedarse ese año en Seúl y justo ahí nuestra historia y este viaje de autodescubrimiento del personaje, en el que nosotros los espectadores tenemos asientos en primera fila para poder ver todo lo que ocurre.

Una de las cosas que más me gustan de la serie es como muestras sin ningún tabú las diferencias culturales, y lo que para algunas parte en el mundo sigue siendo algo no aceptado. Otro punto que me gustó es que por primera vez en esta trilogía de películas y está primera temporada de serie la historia no se centra en como conseguir al chico sino que hay mucho más que contar y eso ¡está genial!

Ahora algo que hay que entender es que sigue siendo una serie de adolescentes con trama de interés propios de esa generación, sin embargo es bastante entretenida y sumamente corta. Cuenta con 10 episodios de al rededor 20-30 minutos cada uno, fácilmente puedes terminarla en un fin de semana.

Otro punto a su favor es que en la series los personajes hablan tanto inglés como coreano, entonces es bastante entretenido ver a los actores asiáticos hablar en su lengua materna. Algo bien interesante es la edad real del elenco de los actores, la protagonista tiene 19 años (algo ok normal, no tan alejado a su personaje) peero los artistas coreanos tienen 27 y 30 años!! Sin duda alguna, el skin care coreano tiene su gran fama por sus increíbles resultados. A pesar de que nuestra antagonista Yuri sí se ve mucho más mayor que Kitty, tampoco parece de su edad biológica de 30 años.

¿Que si la recomiendo? Mmm sí, está perfecto para pasar el rato, despreocuparse y desconectarse. Tiene toda la magia de un k-drama con la irreverencia americana, asi que le doy una puntuación de 7/10.
