## Introduction

In my previous posts, we studied cheap cards that beginners can buy to start building a deck and gathering POWER. The first three cards in this series were the [Harvester](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@vitoragnelli/harverster-of-dec-giveaway), [Phantasm](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@vitoragnelli/do-you-believe-in-phantasms-giveaway) and [Pelacor Mercenary](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@vitoragnelli/the-best-common-reward). In each of them, I asked readers to put other cards in the comments that they felt were more cost-effective than the presented cards. First, I would like to thank all readers, especially those who contributed to this post.

Some chose to comment on cards that had a good mana cost for what they offered, others chose cards that had a low dollar cost (which was my original purpose), but all the cards mentioned are undoubtedly very useful, so I will comment about all of them.

### [Flesh Golem](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=23&gold=false&edition=0&tab=stats)
*Comment from @underlock*

As this is a very popular alpha/beta card, we couldn't expect it to be a cheap card. Its individual version costs more than $20, a very high price considering that it is a common card. And if we are looking to reach its minimum level with the healing ability (3), which is definitely its differential, we need five copies (four for the alpha version), which means an investment of over $100.

Considering its mana cost, at level 3 this card is really exceptional. For only 6 mana, you can summon a tank with 10 health, which means a heal of 3 hit points per turn. It is comparable to the Pelacor Mercenary, but with the possibility of taking advantage of its cure also in bronze and silver leagues, not just in gold.

### [Axemaster](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=280&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comment from @mathfb*

Another extremely powerful card. A few months ago it was still being printed and distributed in reward chests, which makes me think that its current price, which hovers around $17, could still go up considerably. The price is even more attractive when we consider that it is an epic card that already has its main ability at level 1.

This card's double attack is really powerful for several reasons. One way to understand this is when we compare the Axemaster with another card: Mitica Headhunter, which costs 1 mana more. The damage potential of both cards at level 1 is the same, with Axemaster splitting that damage into two attacks. In many cases both cards are the first to attack, which could mean hitting a small shield, which would totally block Mitica's damage, but only half of Axemaster's.

### [Venari Bonesmith](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=341&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comment from @luizasfight*

I love this card, for sure it will be the chosen one of a future post in my series of cheap cards, as it is a rare card that is costing less than $0.60 in the current market. Life leech is a great skill, which Bonesmith has had since level 1, but it gets even better when it gains the possibility to poison enemy monsters.

I think this card has the potential to be worth even more than Venari Wavesmith, another card that will appear on this list, as despite not being part of the main meta these days, Bonesmith carries the possibility of being used in different situations. I consider this to be one of the best qualities a monster can have.

### [Sand Worm](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=242&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comment from @luizasfight*

Another card that is sure to be part of the cheap card series, unless the price explodes in the recent future. Neutral monsters are always useful, as they can be used in the vast majority of matches, but when this monster does 5 damage in the back line of the enemy team, its devastating potential cannot be measured in words.

### [Venari Wavesmith](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=338&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comment from @vdlazzaretti*

Don't get me wrong, I love this letter, but it might not be the best time to buy it unless you want to use it to increase your rental income. I say this because with the arrival of new Summoners from Chaos Legion, the most used team in bronze today (with Alric) has great chances of losing space. If that happens, Wavesmith may become just another support card, not one of the protagonists in the current meta.

Thinking long term, I would say that even the $8.00 this card was sold for recently could be repeated, but while it's still being dealt out in rewards I believe in a drop in price.

### [Creeping Ooze](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=91&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comment from @leko777*

Another neutral card that I love. The ability to slow down enemy monsters is almost always useful, especially at the very low cost of 1 mana. On the other hand, I find it difficult to predict how the beta card prices will change when the new collection and separation in ranked game modalities arrives.

Being old and with little circulation, its price above $8.00 is understandable, but I don't know if it's the best option for new players on a budget.

### [Haunted Spirit](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=50&gold=false&edition=1&tab=stats)
*Comments from @fortheloveofsl, @litrydow, @circlebubble and @squishna*

I love healing cards, but this one I rarely worry about. It's not that I think it's bad, but its price, which exceeds $40.00, is my main caveat. As it is available to play for free by all players who own a Spellbook, it is certainly a great option on certain occasions, but precisely because it is available for free I don't think it should be the focus of purchase or rental.

### [Chain Golem](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=209&gold=false&edition=4&tab=stats)
*Comment from @fortheloveofsl*

This card is without a doubt wonderful, one of the best tanks in the game, but if you are a new player, by no means would I recommend that you buy it. Its current price is over $320.00 so I think that sums it up pretty well. If you are quite rich and want a tank that will win several battles without the least effort, this is the card you need.

### [Serpent of Eld](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=174&gold=false&edition=4&tab=stats)
*Comment from @relf87*

This is an interesting monster, but I find it useful in very specific situations, considering its price. Its main weakness is its low hit points, which make it especially vulnerable to magical attacks, which cannot be deflected by its Dodge skill. As the two free Water Summoners are currently focused on increasing or decreasing magic, I don't think they pair with it very well.

Also considering that it is one of the cards available to be played for free, I think the almost $5.00 this card costs could be spent on other cards.

### [Pelacor Mercenary](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=334&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comments from @summoner-cha, @leko777 and @luizasfight*

This monster has already appeared in my series of cheap cards, see the full post [here](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@vitoragnelli/the-best-common-reward)!

### [Halfling Alchemist](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=237&gold=false&edition=2&tab=stats)
*Comment from @davethegreat*

The ability to cut a monster's damage in half is undoubtedly useful, to say the least. On the other hand, what I said about the Chain Golem also applies here. It's a card that costs more than $100 and in this case it can't even win games alone.

### [Venari Crystalsmith](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=344&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comments from @mathfb and @malevoolento*

I love this monster, and I practically don't play the white deck. Tank healing is almost as good a skill as self healing, and this card still attacks from level 1, unlike some other healers.

Its price is really affordable, so all I have to say is, even if you don't plan on having a good white deck, get one of these and your life will be easier.

### [Yodin Zaku](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=236&gold=false&edition=4&tab=stats)
*Comment from @underlock*

Finally, one of the best cards in the game. It's extremely frustrating to play against this Summoner, and it's almost unanimous for him to place at least the top 2 out of all Summoners in the game. You only need $1,000.00 to buy one of these.

### [Flesh Golem](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=23&gold=false&edition=0&tab=stats)

### [Axemaster](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=280&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)
*Comentário de @mathfb*

Outra carta extremamente poderosa.

### [Venari Bonesmith](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=341&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)

### [Sand Worm](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=242&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)

### [Venari Wavesmith](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=338&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)

### [Creeping Ooze](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=91&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)

### [Haunted Spirit](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=50&gold=false&edition=1&tab=stats)

### [Chain Golem](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=209&gold=false&edition=4&tab=stats)

### [Serpent of Eld](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=174&gold=false&edition=4&tab=stats)

### [Pelacor Mercenary](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=334&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)

### [Halfling Alchemist](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=237&gold=false&edition=2&tab=stats)

### [Venari Crystalsmith](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=344&gold=false&edition=3&tab=stats)

### [Yodin Zaku](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=236&gold=false&edition=4&tab=stats)
