This is a Korean drama that aired in 2017. He said, during the broadcast this drama was very popular, but I thought and asked, where was I at that time, so I didn't realize this drama existed?

This drama has been on my list of dramas I wanted to watch for a long time, but I haven't watched it because I haven't found an official platform for streaming yet. This drama has also been adapted into an Indonesian version with the same title, so I watched it so I could distinguish the adapted version from the original version.

This drama is an investigative thriller drama with a hint of fiction. This drama is about a detective named Park Gwang Ho who is thrown into the future while chasing a serial killer.

This drama has a setting in the 80s where detective Park Gwang Ho is faced with a serial murder mystery that has killed many women. When he investigated the case, he accidentally met and then chased the perpetrator into a tunnel. There was a fight that toppled Park Gwang Ho. Park Gwang Ho passed out and when he woke up, everything changed. He is in the future, 30 years from the time he came from.

At first he didn't realize that he was in the future, but the changing circumstances of his office made him finally realize that he had experienced something magical by being thrown into the future. He reunites with his junior, who in the future has become the team head. The two of them also kept Park Gwang Ho's past identity a secret, which coincidentally when he arrived, there should have been a new detective named Park Gwang Ho, but the detective disappeared. The past Park Gwang Ho also lives his life in the future while finding out the disappearance of the real detective Park Gwang Ho.

In the future, murder cases that claimed the lives of women in the past are still unsolved. The killer is still on the loose and victims are still falling. Park Gwang Ho continues to be confronted with incidents that finally give him a clue as to who the real killer is.

In the future, he meets his grown-up daughter. Although he realized for a long time, finally he can understand why he was thrown into the future and confronted by the same case.

Talking about South Korean dramas is always interesting. The themes they present are always diverse. Even if it is added fiction, something irrational, like this drama that somehow moves to the future without a time machine, it is acceptable and legitimate.

Even though in some episodes it is told very slowly, the ending of this story is satisfying. but I'm curious, why should serial killers in the past be caught in the future? Why didn't Park Gwang Ho's arrival take precautions so that the victims of the killer didn't increase. I mean, why not get caught in the past, that way there will be many survivors. 

Apart from that which is a bit disturbing, the rest is that this drama is very good to be enjoyed. Especially for fans of investigative dramas.

Talking about the differences with the Indonesian adaptation version, I don't see much difference. The Indonesian version is made very nicely. The way the police investigated was in accordance with what I had imagined, not much different and not as careless as the police in soap operas. Even though the plot runs very slowly, there are some very neat adjustments, such as the Indonesian version of Park Gwang Ho's character, Tigor, whose character is built very strongly.

But it's a shame, why the ending doesn't make sense. But for an Indonesian series, this drama adaptation of Tunnel is the best.
