>In the derivatives market, bitcoin’s options open interest is slowly returning after it dropped Tuesday slightly from an all-time peak of about $13 billion on Sunday.

Ether moves with bitcoin amid a quiet market
>The market for ether was largely quiet on Thursday, mirroring the activity in the bitcoin market and moving in a narrowed range of $1,556.38-$1,672.60 at press time.
*“It’s notable that most of ether’s price action is actually driven by bitcoin, as it’s still stuck in the range that it has had versus bitcoin since late 2018,” said Jason Lau, chief operating officer at San Francisco-based exchange OKCoin. “I would continue to look at the ETH/BTC pair.”*

>* The Arca Accredited Investor Bitcoin Trust is taking minimum investments of $25,000.
>* Grayscale Bitcoin Trust is very popular, holding more than 3% of the total supply of BTC.
>Arca, a digital asset management firm, has filed paperwork with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to create a Bitcoin Trust.
>The Arca Accredited Investor Bitcoin Trust has an immediate challenger in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which is the largest institutional buyer of BTC. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust holds an estimated 3% of the 21 million BTC that will ever be in circulation and held $20 billion in assets under management at the end of 2020. Thus far, Arca has raised $100,000 from investors—it made its first sale on February 16.

>Kraken is reportedly in talks to raise new capital in a move that could see the company’s valuation soar to new heights.
>The U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange is currently in discussions with Fidelity, Tribe Capital and General Atlantic to raise an unknown sum, according to a report by Bloomberg on Thursday.
>If approved and agreed upon, the new funding could more than double the company’s $4 billion valuation to around $10 billion, according to figures cited in the report.

>* The $80 million infusion will allow it to scale up its product offerings and reach new clients.
>Anchorage, which last month became the first cryptocurrency firm to secure a federal banking charter, has closed an $80 million Series C round led by Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC. Crypto investing mainstays a16z and Blockchain Capital, as well as Lux and Indico, also contributed funding.
>Anchorage, which counts former US Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh and famed hedge fund manager Stanley Druckenmiller as advisors, is a digital asset custody firm, meaning it holds other companies’ cryptocurrency for them. But it goes beyond mere storage, allowing clients to quickly move funds, stake assets to earn interest, and participate in protocol governance.
