An Explanation of the Silence

<p><strong>First off, I want to apologize to all my followers for my unexplained absence.</strong> &nbsp;I know a lot of you have been following Alfheim: City of Magic and are eagerly awaiting new chapters, and have probably wondered what's going on. &nbsp;Also sorry that there's no image thumbnail for this post, IPFS is down for me, and that's what I usually use to put up images.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Secondly, I'd like to explain. &nbsp;I recently picked up a new job (one I <em>actually</em> enjoy) after being out of work for more than a year. &nbsp;Things were getting <em>really</em> straining financially, because I was essentially relying on my income from Steemit and a couple other small sources, which eventually weren't fitting the bill. &nbsp;I'd sort of been waiting to find the right job/opportunity, because I didn't want to work another job I hated.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>I've been pretty much doing nothing but working for the last 2 weeks, haven't had a day off in a week and a half, and I don't get my first paycheck until the 22nd. &nbsp;I've spent most of my time either working, or asleep. &nbsp;I haven't had time to even think about writing or where I'd like to go with Alfheim, so it's been put on the backburner.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>The good news is, however, that once this week finishes I should be a manager at my new job, which means I'll be making ~20% more than I'm making now. &nbsp;The place I'm working just barely opened up, so they're still figuring out the hours/scheduling/employees so I've been trying to be as available for them as I can.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Now to address what you're probably all thinking:</p>

<p>No, I won't be leaving Steemit, and yes, I'm still alive. &nbsp;I will continue publishing chapters to Alfheim (and possibly other posts), they just might come less frequently than they were before, since I now have a full-time job.</p>
