In 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick who are molecular biologists, publish important discoveries that greatly enhance our scientific understanding of life. They found a double DNA double structure. * It is shaped like a thread that is commonly found inside the cell core and contains code or "written" information so that the cell becomes a library whose information continues to grow. This amazing discovery opens a new page in the field of biology! But why is the information "written" in the cell? Even more interesting, how could that happen?

# WHY DO YOU NEED INFORMATION?

Have you ever wondered how a seed can become a tree? How can an egg become a human being? Or, where do you have certain characteristics? The answer has to do with the information contained in DNA.

Almost all cells have DNA, which is a complicated molecule that resembles a long, spiral ladder. The human genome or a complete ladder of human DNA consists of about three billion "steps" of DNA. Scientists call these stairs as base pairs, because each rung consists of two chemical compounds. There are only four chemical compounds. This compound is abbreviated using their first letter of the letters A, C, G, and T. * In 1957, Crick argued that this long sequence of DNA steps constitutes a code of information. Then in the 1960s, the code was just beginning to be understood.

Information in the form of pictures, sounds or words can be stored and processed in various ways. For example, computers can do this digitally. Living cells store and process information chemically mostly by DNA. Then, this DNA is continued as the cell divides and the organism multiplies. This is the main characteristic of life.

How does the cell use this information? Imagine DNA like a collection of recipes, each recipe having very carefully written and detailed steps. However, because it is DNA, the recipe is not a cake, the end result can be cabbage or beef or other living things. And since it's a living cell, the process happens automatically but is very complicated and powerful.

Genetic information is stored until it is needed. For example, to replace damaged or affected cells or to pass the characteristics to the offspring. How much information is contained in DNA? Watch the bacteria, the smallest organism. A German scientist Bernd-Olaf Küppers said, "If the process of forming a bacterial cell would be written into a book, it would have about a thousand pages." Thus, a professor of chemistry, David Deamer wrote, "The most cells simple enough to make us amazed because of its complexity. "What about the human genome? Küppers said, "[All the information in the human genome] can fill a library that has thousands of volumes of books."

>****DNA-Important Years****
<hr>
1. 1869 Chemist named Friedrich Miescher introduces a new thing we now call deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA.
2. Early 1900s Biochemical experts named Phoebus Levene discovered the sequence of certain chemical compounds from DNA and how these were combined to form chain-like molecules.
3. 1950 Biochemistry expert Erwin Chargaff discovered that DNA mixtures can vary among different species.
4.1953 Scientists named James Watson and Francis Crick explain the double-duplex structure of DNA.

# "WRITTEN TOWARD IS SO ONLY WE CAN UNDERSTAND"

Küppers said that writing in DNA can be likened to a language. He points out that like human language, DNA also has the right sequence of words. That is, DNA has a "grammar", or a system, which governs the formation of words and the execution of their sequence in DNA.

"Words" and "sentences" in DNA are organized into several "recipes" that regulate the manufacture of proteins and other compounds that form the base material for various cells in the body. For example, the "prescription" may be a guide for producing bone cells, muscle cells, nerve cells, or skin cells. An evolutionist by the name of Matt Ridley wrote, "DNA, which is like a very thin thread, contains information written in chemical code, one for one letter. It does not seem to make sense, but the code is written in such a way that we can understand. "

David, a Bible writer, prayed to God, "Your eye sees even when I am an embryo, and all its parts are written in your book." (Psalm 139: 16) David does use poetic language. But, basically, what he says is true like any other Bible writer. They were not at all affected by the folktales or myths that existed at the time.-2 Samuel 23: 1, 2; 2 Timothy 3:16.

# HOW CAN WRITING IT?

Often, when a scientist can explain a mystery, there must be another question that arises. This happens with the discovery of DNA. When it is known that DNA contains code information, intelligent people ask, 'How can the information get there?' Indeed, no one saw the formation of the first molecule DNA. So we need to find the answer ourselves. Even so, we need not be confused. Consider the following comparison.

In 1999, in Pakistan found very old pottery fragments with unique writing or symbols. Until now, no one can interpret it. However, it is still considered man-made.

What's the lesson? When you find something complicated, people always think that there is a maker, like the example of the symbol on the pottery. To get that conclusion, they do not need to see how the information was originally created. However, when humans understand the chemical code of life, the most sophisticated code, many choose to ignore this logic. They assume that DNA is formed by chance. Does that make sense? Is it consistent? Is it scientific? Some respected scientists say no, including Dr. Gene Hwang and Professor Yan-Der Hsuuw. Watch what they say.

Dr. Gene Hwang studied the basic mathematics for genetics. He once believed in evolution, but his research made him change his mind. He told the Sadarlah! Magazine, "Genetic research provides an understanding of the mechanisms of life. This understanding makes me fascinated with the wisdom of the Creator. "

Professor Yan-Der Hsuuw is an embryo research leader at Pingtung National University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. He also once believed in evolution, but his research led him to draw a different conclusion. He said about cell division and function, "Cells must be produced in the correct order and in the right place. First of all, cells gather together to form tissues, then some tissues form organs. There is no way anyone can write steps for such a process. But the steps of embryo formation are written in detail in DNA. When I think of that greatness, I am convinced that life is designed by God. "

# IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Yes, justice must be upheld! If God who created life means God is the one who deserves honor, not evolution. (Revelation 4:11) In addition, if we are the creation of a wise Creator, we are created for a purpose. If life existed by chance, then that goal does not exist. *

Smart people really want to get a satisfactory answer. Viktor Frankl, professor of neurology and psychiatry said, "The main motivation of human life is to seek the purpose of life." In other words, we have the spiritual needs we want to fulfill. And this need belongs only to man, God's special creation. If we were created by God, does He tell us how to meet this spiritual need?

Jesus answered the question by saying, "Man must live, not from bread alone, but from every speech that comes out through the mouth of Jehovah [or, God]." (Matthew 4: 4) The words of Jehovah written in the Bible have met the spiritual needs of millions person. The Bible gives them the purpose of life and provides hope in the future. (1 Thessalonians 2:13) May you also feel that way. At least, consider studying this unique book, the Bible.

>****Theory of Evolution That Scientific?****
<hr>
How can a theory be called scientific? According to the book Encyclopedia of Scientific Principles, Laws, and Theories, a scientific theory, such as Albert Einstein's theory of gravity must
a. Can be observed carefully
b. Can be tested with several experiments
c. Can know the end result accurately
So what about the theory of evolution? * The process can not be observed. The theory can not be tested by experiment, and the end result can not be accurately known. In fact, can evolution be called a scientific hypothesis? According to the same encyclopedia, the hypothesis is "an uncertain conclusion of a fact [not a theory], but can be tested by experiment".
