# **Hello everyone and welcome again!**

Doing this challenge I realized the whole design of this card and I ended up liking it even more, I didn't know she had short hair and I thought her cape was just her hair, but let's leave that aside, I love this card because it combines magic attack with Slow, an ability that I love to use in my battles.

The idea is to combine Time Mage with cards that benefit from high speed, making synergy with the Slow ability, so you make your monsters faster and your enemy's monsters slower.

In this challenge I'm going to talk about the strategies I use with this card and how I take advantage of his ability, so let's not wait any longer, let's go with the post!

# How to use the Time Mage?

From a more general view Time Mage does not benefit from General Sloan in Chaos Legion or Mother Kala so you could look the other way but the truth is that this card has tremendous potential because it costs only 4 mana points, has magic attack, tremendous speed and the Slow ability. All this helps you to create strategies where this powerful mage shows its full potential as a support card that should be in the second line, as sheltered as possible to get a lot of benefit. I personally prefer to use her in combination with Splinter Dragon and Vida, but with General Sloan herself she works well because she will give your cards a speed advantage so don't hesitate to use her in your decks.

In every battle you use this card will have importance everywhere, because it will take away speed from the enemy and that according to the rules of the battle can end up causing or many enemy MISSES or that your cards attack first (or both, of course) and obviously take advantage of that. In addition, from gold rank onwards he also learns the Rust ability, decreasing the enemy's armor, this card alone can seriously knock down an entire enemy strategy.

### ***Round 1.***

* The main idea is to increase your speed or decrease the opponent's speed with the summoner and since no life summoner does this, we have to resort to a summoner Dragon, where we have three options: Neb Seni, Quix Devious and Byzantine Kitty. These last two for me are the best options, I used Kitty. 

* As a Tank, a great option is Shieldbearer because it attracts the attacks towards it with its Taunt, and the triple healing to the tank from Kitty, Divine Healer and Venari Crystalsmith make it practically immortal whenever you fight against Melee or Ranged.

* Pelacor Conjurer is a secondary tank that seems weak but you can't imagine how good this card becomes in this lineup because it will have Fly + 6 base points of speed, with a slowed enemy and healing at different points of each turn.

* Divine Healer at level 3 becomes spectacular because apart from healing the tank, it has damage and very good life.

* ***Time Mage*** is here to slow down the enemies, making those two points of speed that Kitty gives indirectly become 3 points, also has magic damage and a very high speed.

* Pelacor Arbalest because it has Double Attack and is one of my favorite skills, it does a lot of damage and is protected by the Shieldbearer.

* Venari Crystalsmith is the third heal of my lineup, and also with the speed buff it will attack very fast.

### Round 2.

My opponent chose to use Water with Kelya and that is something disadvantageous for this alignment because the idea is that you have the highest speed possible while your opponent is the opposite. The Rise of the Commons ruleset didn't let me use cards like Void Dragon that are incredible with this alignment, but even so it is still excellent, look at the image above as my Time Mage starts the battle with 7 points of speed and with his ability, cancels Kelya's buff, the battle was already on track since it started, just in round 1 and his tank had already fallen, the most dangerous was missing, the Deeplurker. But with Shieldbearer attracting the attacks, everything was calculated.

In Round 3 my advantage was already 2 cards and my cards had not received any damage thanks to the healing, which was so much that they did not even activate all together in the same turn, and best of all is that if my Shieldbearer had fallen, the lineup would not lose almost none of its potential.

### Round 4.

Pelacor Arbalest's damage is vital but so is Time Mage because the speed difference makes practically all my cards attack first, eliminating my opponents before they have any chance to do damage, despite that Deeplurker is dangerous, as I said, he managed to do a lot of damage to my Shieldbearer but his fate was already sealed.

### Round 5.

My Time Mage put an end to the enemy Kuku Swimhunter and my Pelacor Arbalest together with my Venari didn't even give the Ice Pixie a chance to do anything, that's how this battle ended in Perfect, with all my cards with their full life.

I think Time Mage is a spectacular card for granting the Slow ability with so little mana and also having magic damage, plus when Dragon legendary cards are allowed and the mana is high you can make combinations that are completely crazy. But other than that, in his own Splinter I think it also works excellent giving advantage to cards like Pelacor Arbalest, which already in this battle you saw that it can make a huge difference with that big damage it causes.
