## With us you can only watch television digital.
I have no idea what that means only that the antenna on the tv or the roof became useless. We always were satisfied with the channels we could receive with it. The 3 Dutch ones, some regional and because we lived close to the German border some German too. 

**Soon radio will be digital too.**
It means more waste. Car radios, transistors can be thrown away unless you go live abroad in a country where they do not rip you off and allow you to use your radio and tv. Somewhere where they do not try to rip you off for listening and watching commercials and try to brainwash you with "news" items which are no news. 

**We never really watched tv.**
I consider it a waste of time and so do my children. We do not feel lost and need to hear something to keep us company. We have no time to sit and hang around and see the rehearsals of the rehearsals of the past year which are rehearsals of the past ten years. As it became more expensive to watch we ended it. Every cent counts. Not a single day we missed it. 
Even if we have the chance to watch elsewhere we don't switch it on. 
Some people still have a vertical antenna on their roof. I guess they use it for what once was popular and we call a "bakkie". Listening (eavesdropping) to different frequencies (police for example) and talking to others who share the same hobby. No mobilephone, internet, 4 or 5 G needed to stay in touch either.
