**What's in the bag?**
For sure not the groceries needed and to be honest I am sick and tired of banks. Dutch banks use 'iDEAL' for years but the German N26 bank seems not to know what the idea behind iDEAL is. This is direct payment, not payment 3 days later which even takes longer than a normal bank transfer which arrives on the same day!

I am annoyed, frustrated, and angry because of the lack of knowledge when it comes to customer service. It would be a help if people with knowledge about this banking system would answer questions instead of ... or a robot.

If it comes to a real human or AI I start to think there's no difference anymore. Both can't think and just provide the basic info that can be found on the site. So what's the point of asking for help? I don't have a great feeling about this transfer and most likely it will take a few weeks and a lot of stress.
I wasn't helped, all I know is I will never use the iDEAL function again since it's fake and far from ideal!

So in the bag is zero except for an empty bottle which should be delivered back at the shop and enjoyment, anger, frustration and all those feelings I hope I hid inside that bag before my children arrived home. No idea what to eat yet, I think I will skip today's meal.

Me too! Banks, I mean.

So I've been trying to set up a payment gateway for my store for weeks now and since I last did some e-com dev things most certainly have changed.

It's impossible. To have a store with base currency as you like and payments into ZA now. Without expensive currency exchange plugins and blah blah yadda ya we want to regulate your every move because we don't trust you to play decently.

Hah! We perceive what we are. Dead giveaway, banks of the world. Fuck you, btw. (the banks - not you, Kitty)

@meesterboom - why this is taking so fucking long. Lockdown...

Edited: Thoughts on PayPal appreciated because I'm not so keen but this may be my only solution until I can pay for services to convert. Really 🙄

I no longer use PayPal but my daughter does. 1001 different ways to get paid (model, vintage shop, etc) if I hear her it's the only way to receive (piggy banks in different valuta and the cheapest is to not exchange). She also has issues with the pin-machine/payments by card (every few months another one since she's tricked plus it takes over 1 week till the transfers arrive). 

I believe Pay Pal charges way more than Wise does, N26 a bit more although they use Wise, Revolut is an option too but no idea what they charge but you can earn if you talk others into an account, same for Wise btw plus Wise pays if you have £, $ or € saved in 'jars'.

I doubt the banks save on energy and that's why transfers arrive later. Instead of better, faster it only gets worse. 

Btw my daughter uses for certain payments a private account (next to business and PayPal and preferable cash). It works faster and is free. 

You tried online banks, free accounts? 

I wish you strength with the fight but most of all less stress and the right to lay hands on your own money.

I didn't think of Wise. Yes. It's an amazing option and now see they have a payment plugin for Woo :D 

I'll look into all these options. The problem tends to happen because ZA and rands and we are Africa. Most international banks and gateways don't include us. Yet!

PayPal does. But last I knew, you need an FNB account (local bank) to bring in funds andFNB was the only bank who linked to PayPal. And I lost my account in the ruckus so... First National Bank were unhelpful in a time of crisis. This after I used them successfully for a lifetime and turned down a Platinum Credit Card.

More... my so-called debt insurance, that I paid for for fifteen odd years, "disappeared". Nobody knew who they were or which department it was at FNB. Yeah... and they say crypto is full of scam artists.
