Starting From Scratch... Again.

<p>Back in 2009 I started a comedy club with the owners of a large bowling and entertainment venue. After a couple of years it would sell out weekly and the service was top notch. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get that going.</p>
<p>After growing the club as much as I could, I stepped away about two years ago. Recently the venue was sold and the venue is turning into a storage warehouse and the comedy club was closed.</p>
<p>Seeing opportunity.</p>
<p>Right now there is a large hole in the local market for comedy. Nobody else is doing it at the level of the former club. After speaking with local business owners and a DJ partner I have, we found a new place. So starting in late February I will be bringing comedy back to my town, but I have to grow it from nothing again.&nbsp;</p>
<p>At least this time I have the knowledge and the wisdom behind running a comedy club. So really, I'm not starting from scratch.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The thing is, I like comedy and enjoy being on stage. I want comedy in my local town. In order for that to happen, I've to make it happen.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In life you can either shy away from the opportunities you see or you can go fight for them. This is going to be tough, but anything worthwhile isn't easy. At least it will be funny.</p>

I admire your tenacity.  I'm in the process of starting my own venture in a field that in many ways is completely new.  That said I'm trying to find ways to bring the best bits of my old working life to the new and combine them so that they add greater value.  I imagine you will do something similar the second time around and build something even better. Good luck
