De cúpulas y techos

Cuando visitas una iglesia, una catedral, un palacio... cualquier edificio que tenga techos altos, tan altos que parecen perderse en el infinito; esos techos que están sujetos a enormes pilares que sujetan miles y miles de kilos de piedra, de ladrillo... ¿qué es lo primero que sueles mirar?

Supongo que os pasa lo mismo que a mí, inconscientemente lo primero que hacemos es mirar hacia arriba, tratamos de ver cuan alto es esa construcción y, en caso de las iglesias o las catedrales, esas cúpulas que parecen grandes agujeros llenos de arte, llenos de luz y llenos de vida.

Los techos de esas catedrales son, sin duda, una de las mayores obras artísticas que podemos disfrutar en la actualidad. Están altas, muy altas. Dejan entrar la luz por el centro o por los laterales, en forma de grandes ventanales, da igual la forma pero, sin duda alguna, nunca desilusionan, nunca pasan desapercibidas y suelen ser el alma de la catedral.
