[EN/PT-BR] Explaining how Melee Monsters work in Splinterlands

When it comes to dealing damage, melee monsters are my favorites in Splinterlands because most of them have a high attack power and are usually useful for defense as well. Unfortunately, melee monsters have a big disadvantage in that they can only attack in first position, but there are battle rules and abilities that help you overcome this disadvantage and allow them to attack in any position.

The battle rules that allow melee monsters to attack in any position are:

- Melee Mayhem.
- Equal Opportunity.
- Super Sneak.

The only rule that explicitly states that melee monsters can attack in any position is the Melee Mayhem rule, but the Equal Opportunity and Super Sneak rules also allow this because the monsters receive the Opportunity (in the Equal Opportunity rule) and Sneak (in the Super Sneak rule) abilities.

To better understand, I will explain how these abilities work, but first I will talk about the abilities that allow melee monsters to attack in other positions.

The abilites are:

- Sneak.
- Opportunity.
- Reach.
- Charge.

Now let's get to the explanations:

The Sneak ability allows melee monsters to attack in any position and they will target the enemy monster positioned in the last position.

The Opportunity ability allows melee monsters to attack in any position and they will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

The Reach ability allows the melee monster to attack in the second position.

The Charge ability allows the melee monster to attack in any position.

Since I explained these abilities, then you should already understand the battle rules that I mentioned earlier.

Considering how powerful melee monsters are in Splinterlands, then I think this disadvantage is fair and for this reason when there are some of the battle rules that I mentioned before, I try to make the most of it by using several melee monsters in the battle.

This would be a great example of the type of strategy I use for the Melee Mayhem rule, most of my monsters have melee attacks and they are all incredibly strong, in fact my initial plan was to use only monsters with melee attacks but since I chose the water deck and it has River Hellondale, I decided to use it because of its Inspire ability, this ability increases the melee attack of allied monsters by +1 so it is very useful in my strategy.

Using this strategy made the battle very easy and after 5 rounds I emerged victorious and only 1 of my monsters were defeated.

Quando o assunto é causar dano, monstros com ataque melee são os meus favoritos em Splinterlands porque a maioria possui uma grande quantidade de ataque e geralmente são úteis na defesa também. Infelizmente monstros com ataque melee possuem uma grande desvantagem que é serem capazes de atacar apenas na primeira posição, mas existem regras de batalhas e habilidades que o ajudam a enfrentar essa desvantagem e permite que eles ataquem em qualquer posição.

As regras de batalha que permite monstros melee atacarem em qualquer posição são:

- Melee Mayhem.
- Equal Opportunity.
- Super Sneak.

A única regra que deixa explicito que os monstros melee podem atacar em qualquer posição é a regra Melee Mayhem, mas as regras Equal Opportunity e Super Sneak também permitem isso porque os monstros recebem as habilidades Opportunity (Na regra Equal Opportunity) e Sneak (Na regra Super Sneak).

Para entender melhor eu vou explicar como essas habilidades funcionam, mas primeiro vou falar quais são as habilidades que permitem os monstros melee atacarem em outras posições.

As habilidades são:

- Sneak.
- Opportunity.
- Reach.
- Charge.

Agora vamos para as explicações:

A habilidade Sneak permite que os monstros melee ataquem em qualquer posição e eles vão ter como alvo o monstro inimigo posicionado na última posição.

A habilidade Opportunity permite eu os monstros melee ataquem em qualquer posição e eles vão ter como alvo o monstro inimigo com menor vida.

A habilidade Reach permite que o monstro melee ataque na segunda posição.

A habilidade Charge permite que o monstro melee ataque em qualquer posição.

Como expliquei essas habilidades então vocês já devem terem entendido as regras de batalhas que mencionei anteriormente.

Considerando como os monstros melee são poderosos em Splinterlands, então acho que essa desvantagem é justa e por esse motivo quando tem algumas das regras de batalha que mencionei antes, eu tento aproveitar ela ao máximo utilizando vários monstros melee na batalha.

Esse seria um ótimo exemplo do tipo de estratégia que utilizo para a regra Melee Mayhem, a maioria dos meus monstros possuem ataque melee e todos são incrivelmente fortes, na verdade o meu plano inicial era utilizar apenas monstros com ataque melee mas como eu escolhi o deck de água e nele existe o River Hellondale, então decidi utilizar ele por causa de sua habilidade Inspire, essa habilidade aumenta o ataque melee dos monstros aliados em +1 então ela é muito útil na minha estratégia.

Utilizar essa estratégia fez com que a batalha se tornasse muito fácil e após 5 rounds eu sair vitorioso e apenas 1 dos meus monstros foram derrotados.
