**While the world celebrated a new year, she was mourning her sister.**

Sadness had always been in the world. 
Sorrow and pain were plastered on people's wall. It wasn't a new thing.

 You could see it. You could read it. 

But,

She had always been an outsider in the realm of despair. Until she got served her dose of grief.  she twirled in her sorrow cause it was the song forced on her. 

She would stare at their mother through the corner of her eyes.

*What kind of pain she must be going through.?*

It's her daughter after all. The one who was taking care of her already. But, now, now she's gone.

she wonders why she isn't the dead one. It should have been her. She who doesn't have her life figured out yet. She who was still living off her mother.

*Not the good daughter. Not the good sister.*

Friends called. Families visited. Messages to ease her pain, but all proved abortive. she could still feel the burning sensation in her heart, just like she felt when she heard the news. None had the right word to put an end to her anguish.

But, with every sunset, the wrenching illness in her stomach faded. Days passed and she thinks less of her sister. Now, she had to be the daughter, the only daughter and the good daughter...

And at night when she's alone she thinks about her and she looks at the knife hidden in her drawer...
