Whaleshares.net Header Art Contest: My Entry

[whaleshares.net](http://whaleshares.net/) is in search for a new banner/header image so I've crerated a simple banner design for it. You can find the contest details from @officialfuzzy's [post](https://steemit.com/eos-project/@officialfuzzy/whaleshares-net-header-art-contest-whaleshare-and-beyondbit-prizes-inside).

Using Adobe Photoshop, I've created a 1280 x 290 pixels draft as this is the required image size. As usual, Photoshop's shape tools are my friend so I make use of it to form this simple banner.

I've added a layer effect for the background color. Layer effect used was Gradient Overlay, Soft Light being its blend mode. The mountain objects are made of rectangles anchored to create triangles. This is done by pressing ```Ctrl``` key while adjusting the edges of the rectangles. As for the mountain climbers, I've used a [free image](https://pixabay.com/en/climber-hiker-brown-walking-stick-309729/) from ]pixabay.com](https://pixabay.com/). It was then resized, and duplicates were created. For the sun and the clouds, it's made from circles and ellipses while the birds were created from the pen tool. To organize the image components, shape and other layers where grouped and converted as smart object.
