Ray Burke es un famoso agente deportivo, hombre que se encarga de los novatos que llegan a la liga y están en busca de su primer contrato. Cuando la liga tiene un paro, las franquicias no pueden negociar con ningún jugador, los salarios quedan totalmente detenidos y Ray Burke intenta lo imposible para salvarle la carrera a su joven cliente, Erick Scott. En estos momentos se puede ver como los altos ejecutivos, no intentan proteger a los jugadores, simplemente, desean salvar sus bolsillos y buscar el incremento de sus ganancias. Ray Buker, no se rinde, decide luchar fuertemente ante una industria muy poderosa. Erick Scott, otro novato que también está en busca de firmar un contrato, tiene que confiar plenamente en Ray Burke, hombre que puede ayudarlo a cumplir su mayor sueño.

En medio de todo, surge una rivalidad entre ambos novatos, Ray Burke, cree que no están actuando de la mejor forma, no saldrá nada positivo, están arriesgando el trabajo que se ha hecho y sus potenciales firmas de la NBA. Pero, a sorpresa de todos, las polémicas pueden ser un factor positivo y termina siendo en el caso de estos 2 jóvenes. Ray Burke, rápidamente, observa una excelente oportunidad y no desperdicia el momento para realizar un plan maestro.

Las cadenas de televisión estaban cerradas para los propietarios de equipo, llevando demandas de muchos millones de dólares. Hubo una práctica donde se vio a Jamero Umber junto a Erick Scott, ambos entrenando y teniendo un duelo intenso de baloncesto. Niños que estaban presentes, decidieron filmar y el video se hizo viral en las redes sociales. La palabra -transmisión- se hizo muy fuerte en la mente de Ray Burke y consiguió que los jóvenes ganaran dinero a pesar del cierre patronal. During the NBA lockout, Ray Burke, finds himself in a serious situation, the company where he works is about to close its doors, there are no clients available and it is not known when the lockout will end. The agent has to look for a young promise, which would be Jamero Umber, a rookie who is on the doorstep of a firm and needs a lot of guidance when it comes to reaching an agreement.

In these moments, we can see how the top executives are not trying to protect the players, they simply want to save their pockets and look for an increase in their profits. Ray Buker, not giving up, decides to fight hard against a very powerful industry. Erick Scott, another rookie who is also looking to sign a contract, has to put his trust in Ray Burke, the man who can help him fulfill his biggest dream.

In the middle of it all, a rivalry arises between both rookies, Ray Burke, believes that they are not acting in the best way, nothing positive will come out of it, they are risking the work that has been done and their potential NBA signings. But, to everyone's surprise, controversy can be a positive factor and it ends up being in the case of these 2 young men. Ray Burke, quickly, sees an excellent opportunity and does not waste the moment to make a master plan.

The television networks were closed to team owners, leading to multi-million dollar lawsuits. There was a practice where Jamero Umber was seen next to Erick Scott, both training and having an intense basketball duel. Children who were present, decided to film and the video went viral on social networks. The word -broadcasting- became very strong in Ray Burke's mind and he managed to make the youngsters money despite the lockout. The strategy and the move he implemented, put the basketball industry in check.

La producción puede resultar un poco lenta, para algunos, incluso, hasta aburrida y debes prestar mucha atención para no perder el desarrollo de la trama. Se alejan un poco del tema principal, tomando como plano un desenlace amoroso entre el novato Erick Scott y una asistente del agente Ray Burke. No me parece que le haya añadido algo bueno, aunque intentan convencernos de lo profesional que debe ser un jugador al momento de buscar una firma y no tener distracciones que lo aparten del juego.

Me gusto que mostraran algunos jugadores de la NBA, tenemos a: Karl-Anthony Towns, Reggie Jackson y Donovan Mitchell. Aquí, vemos entrevistas reales que tuvieron estos jugadores en su primer año de novato y mencionan un poco su experiencia de obtener su primera firma. También, aplaudo el hecho de la cámara, hicieron un excelente trabajo. De no haber investigado, realmente no me hubiera enterado de que fuera ha sido grabada por un Iphone 8, se ve una buena imagen y luz en todo el filme.

La interpretación del agente, Ray Burke, ha sido increíble, demuestra que siempre habrá un camino. Rendirse es la última opción, se arriesgó mucho frente a los altos mandos de la industria y termino ganando el juego. Si deseas entender un poco, como funciona el detrás de cámara de una liga, High Flying Bird, puede aclarar la noción de tus pensamientos y ofrecerte verdades crudas que suelen suceder en una industria donde se mueve mucho dinero.

Esta producción ha sido dirigida por Steven Soderbergh, quien ya ha hecho otras películas a través de la cámara de un Iphone. Fue estrenada el 8 de febrero del 2019. En el año 2011 ocurrió un paro en la NBA, muy fuerte, que atraso la liga durante varios meses, y este filme puede estar motivado a lo que sucedió en aquel tiempo. Mi recomendación es un poco reservada, no me parece una gran película, aunque tampoco está mal. El final es genial, no necesitaba mucho para obtener increíbles resultados.

Had I not done my research, I really wouldn't have known that it was shot by an Iphone 8, there is a good image and light throughout the film.

The performance of the agent, Ray Burke, was incredible, it shows that there will always be a way. Giving up is the last option, he took a big risk in front of the top brass of the industry and ended up winning the game. If you want to understand a little bit about how the behind-the-scenes of a league works, High Flying Bird, can clarify the notion of your thoughts and offer you raw truths that often happen in an industry where a lot of money moves.

This production was directed by Steven Soderbergh, who has already made other films through the camera of an iPhone. It was released on February 8, 2019. In 2011 there was a strike in the NBA, very strong, that delayed the league for several months, and this film may be motivated to what happened at that time. My recommendation is a bit reserved, I don't think it's a great movie, although it's not bad either. The ending is great, it didn't need much to get incredible results.
