I read a quote today by @GaryVee (Gary Vaynerchuk).
“Blame yourself. It leads to the outcome you were looking for by blaming others.”

Gary is right. It is much easier to blame someone else for where you are at in life, or the challenges you are facing, or whatever it is that you believe is holding you back from having a happier, more contented life.
I honestly believe that a majority of us are where we are at due to our choices, not someone else’s. That is a hard fact to face, but I sincerely believe it is the truth.

I can think of my own life, the challenges I have faced, the results, good or bad.
The truth is, I can only blame myself. I can’t blame my childhood, my education, or lack thereof. I can’t blame someone else, because they were smarter, richer, or more powerful. I can’t blame the pigment of my skin, or my age, or my looks. I can’t even blame my religion, or position in life.
When it comes down to it, I am where I exactly am at in life due to the decisions and actions I have made thus far. Plain and simple. So, if I am dissatisfied with my life, I only can look at myself as the source of the problem.
If I am dissatisfied with my life, I need to sit down with myself and have a serious discussion!

1. Is this the life you want? If not, what are you willing to do to change it?
2. How much time are you willing to commit to change, to creating the life and lifestyle you want?
3. What are you afraid of?
4. Are you being reality based, or fantasy based?
Once you ask yourself these questions, note your feelings, your thoughts, take out a notebook, write it down. What is the life you want? Make a checklist, use it daily. Ask yourself, am I making progress, or not? If not, why not?
If you are having marriage / relationship difficulties, if you want it to change, you need to be the change.
Stop putting you lack of success, your lack of happiness on others and accept accountability and responsibility for your actions, your words and your mindset.
In closing, if you ever wanted to be an artist, a conductor, a writer, then let this be the way to think about things. Create, compose, write the life you want and then put in the action steps to bring it to reality.
