Ayer en la noche me encontré con una noticia muy interesante para el mundo de la minería de criptomonedas y gaming en particular, y es que la famosa marca NVIDIA bloqueara con controladores la actividad de minería en sus tarjetas creadas originalmente para gaming.
Sin embargo para no perder la gran cantidad de ventas que han tenido, y la que han calculado como millonaria, lanzaran una linea especial para la minería donde eliminaran los componentes que son pensados para gaming, así que serán utilizadas solamente para la minería y se dice que específicamente para ETH, ya que ha sido la criptomoneda mas rentable en cuanto a minería con GPUs.

Lo principal que debemos saber es que desde la salida de las RTX 3060 y la RTX 3080, el stock de Nvidia se agoto completamente debido a la alta demanda que tenian estas GPUs para su uso en el minado de criptomonedas lo que hizo que el mercado de compradores Gamers no pudieran obtenerlas, incluso famosos youtubers y streamers se quejaron de esto. Nvidia rechazo que todo su stock se haya agotado en tan poco tiempo y que revendedores tuvieran sus GPUs publicadas en Ebay por un precio mucho mayor en el que fue ofertado, y al parecer ahora quieren poner mano dura con la minería de criptomonedas, ya que sabemos que muchos gamers no pueden acceder a estas tarjetas de video por que hay personas que pueden tener granjas de hasta 100 GPUs.
Debido a la alta demanda de GPUs para la minería, su precio se incremento mucho mas de lo normal este primer trimestre del año, incluso tarjetas de video de la anterior generación como la RX 580, son utilizadas para minar ETH y su precio se aumento de 180-200$ a 500$, y lo digo por experiencia propia ya que en Noviembre-Diciembre de año pasado estuve a punto de comprar esta GPUs por el precio mencionado y hoy en el mismo lugar esta mucho mas costosa, y no solo en esta tienda también en Amazon aumento el precio, la escases de piezas gamers hacen que los revendedores alteren los precios a su antojo, y eso solo afecta a los gamers activos que quieren tener una buena GPU.
Las razones son sencillas:
1) Todos los fabricantes de GPUs venden completamente su stock, ellos no tienen perdida alguna.
2) Los revendedores, obtienen ganancias muy altas por escases de piezas.
3) Los mineros generan ganancias día y noche ya que sus tarjetas no tienen descanso.
4) Mas personas nuevas entrando al mundo de criptomonedas y minería y el constante alza de los precios en criptomonedas.
Todos estos aspectos solo afectan a los gamers.

All these aspects only affect gamers.

Una mala noticia para el mundo de la minería sin duda alguna es que las tarjetas de la serie 3000 serán bloqueadas para el uso de minería, y se sabia bien que tenia la cantidad de 115 Mh/s en poder de minado y son ideales para ETH, ya que su consumo de electricidad es mínimo en comparación a otras, el precio es mas accesible.
Ahora bien la buena noticia será que Nvidea anuncio la CMP (Cruptocurrency Mining Processor) HX, en cuanto a las especificaciones podemos ver el poder de minador que tendrían los diferentes modelos los vatios necesarios y la memoria de cada una, siendo hechas solamente para el miniado, en especifico de ETH.
Es posible que estas nuevas tarjetas graficas sean lanzadas el segundo trimestre del 2021 pero no se conocen sus precios.

Es una noticia que beneficia a ambas partes, ya que el mundo gamer por fin tendrá exclusividad en cuanto a las tarjetas graficas y el mundo de minería tendrá sus tarjetas graficas especializadas solo en este medio.
Creo que puede ser posible que los precios de las GPU gamer bajen nuevamente de precio ya que no se desaparecerán del mercado como se esta viendo ahora, es una decisión importante que beneficia a ambas partes. Además que el próximo 25 de Febrero será lanzada la nueva rtx 3060, la cual dispone de de 12 GB de memoria GDDR6 que según viene limitada desde la Bios para evitar lo antes mencionado, sin embargo esperemos ver como se comporta el mercado y si su sctock se agota rapidamente.
