Music Streaming Is Getting On the Blockchain: Welcome Opus

It is only a matter of time before each different field gets rocked by the blockchain. We have seen social media and now we are now looking to see a shift in music streaming. The site will be called opus and would work as a way for artists to get paid for their work without having to worry about middle men. This would, in theory, help musicians see more profit for their work. I think it is a good idea and as it is a streaming service I guess you would pay a monthly fee like you do with Spotify. It is even in beta already, so I think you can test it out if you are interested. 

Would you use this service? I think for a lot of people it comes down to convenience and content. So it will need to be as easy as Spotify for people to use and offer the same features that that service does. And/or musicians will have to offer their music exclusively on here so people will have to check it out.

I think there is already an intersting blockchain project for this :  DESCENT.

If we want to do something with Steem, you should more take exemple on soundcloud tan spotify. A soundcloud with upvote and reward would be more interesting than a paid service. For extra money, musician will be able to sell full quality tracks, samples, partitions (and other numeric content) on DESCENT blockchain. 

I trully don't think that the economic model of Spotify is the best one.

Thank you @whatageek for sharing this info with a wider audience. Many or rather most of us hadn't had of this development on the blockchain world. Yeah but with the beta release of *VIEWLY*, an alternative to YouTube, it was about time we explored the uncharted territories of music streaming on blockchain. I am all for anything that rewards the content creator and if this can help the musicians to remove the middleman then there can't be anything better. ✌️✌️Peace..!!
