SMTs And Airdrops: Our Chance To Hype Steem And Add Coin Value

Hey everyone,

SMTs are coming. And though I do plan on continuing to post on Steem Leo, there will be some great benefits to the new SMTs that can help us increase the value of steem. This includes airdrops for people who hold steem. Steem engine coins didn't have this for steem. There was airdrops based on other factors and coins but as I can recall none of them were given for people who hold steem. But I'm sure that will change will SMTs where people can airdrop coins to steem holders.

Now I don't want to just see steem airdrops as that will just continue to give the same people the same power in new groups and we need to spread out the voting power to get this site off the ground. That being said we can still go a few big airdrops that can get people excited to own and buy steem.

If there is a date when a big airdrop will happen this will lead to a lot of people buying the coin knowing that not only they will get steem for their purchase but one, two, maybe even ten other coins from airdrops. Think of how this will positively effect the price of the coin.

When people are ready for an airdrop I think we need to do a big ad campaign and let people know if you have steem before this date you will get this coin as well in the drop. Think of the hype. Give it a month to build-up and watch how much steem improves now that we have airdrops a plenty.

I am excited about SMTs as well as all other things like Steem-Engine, Splinterlands, NFTs presented during SteemFest. We are moving to the right direction technically but we lack some marketing indeed. Let’s see how all things will work out...

Not a bad idea at all, it will send sparks of electric vibes round the entire cryptosphere...no one knows when the airdrops will end, so people are more incentivized to hold, they are staking anyway....explosive twitter campaign....

It is the next logical step once smt's and communites are ready to launch that they are pushed with a big marketing campaign to get interest and money behind them. There has been talk of it but nothing concrete so far.
