The Importance Of Free-To-Play And Use In The World Of Crypto

When it comes to gaming and apps on the blockchain we are going to need to make as many free as possible. Free to use, sign up and earn crypto, This can be for a game where players can earn rare epic loot to sites like steemit where content is rewarded. The reason being this is new territory that people need to get used to and having a paywall can really push back the mainstream adoption of the tech. There can be premium elements that people can pay for and you want to give value to the coin so people will have a reason to hold it but the initial venture should not cost the user a dime. 

In addition the apps need to be user-friendly. They need to work as they would regular apps but with the inclusion of a coin or items. Take steemit for example, besides the password you could easily confuse this site for a site that is not on a blockchain. That is where we need to be. The goal is to have the tech be as easy as watching netflix with the coins being a bonus.

This will take time. The tech is still new so you need to wait for games that are seamless but I do think we will get there. And the ones that are free and fun will really bring in a crowd of people who may know nothing about crypto but will start to learn.

Agreed!  This is what made Microsoft so successful with windows.  The user interface was so simple that it brought a new age of advances as more people gained access to computers which led to huge productivity gains in many aspects of life.

I nearly quit steemit in my early days because it was pretty difficult at first reallyi guess that's why it's essential for it to be easy as Netflix like you said, if it's user friendly it will be an added bonus

Free to play is where is at, it gets a lot more revenue selling cosmetics in F2P games than selling actual copies of the game, if it is accessible it could blow up, a great example is Fortnite since its an F2P battle royale type of game has equal or surpass the popularity of Player Unknown battleground just because it is free, and has earned epic games 100 million dollars a month.

And if you integrate this into blockchain technology, well the future is bright for gaming.
