Before anyone gets excited I do not think anything will come this. From what I gathered from the site anyone can start a petition, any one can sign it and when it gets sent to the person they can easily ignore it. But still, it is something and if enough people gather and want something, you never know. The petition is aimed at the CEO of Amazon and it is a request to get the coin added to the site ASAP.

As anyone knows this would be a game changer. Amazon is slowing taking over the world (though it will have to share with Google) and online shopping is growing and growing. Who knows how many stores will close in the future because of it. As Amazon is huge and you can buy almost anything there, if it accepts bitcoin it could, single-handedly, close the gap between internet money and real world purchasing. When you have a site the world uses, and it takes bitcoin, then the world can use bitcoin.

I am pro crypto and bitcoin so I hope it takes off. Currently there are only 3,479 signatures and it will take a LOT more than that to get a lot of attention. And even if it does, again, it does not mean anything will come from it. But if you are interested in signing it here is the link:
