Itβs been a rough and amazing few days. My back has been flaring up a bit But Iβve learned a few new tricks to manage it. Iβve connected with this community on a deeper level than before and I have a few new allies who want to help me find students. One of these new allies has been trying to convince me to move to her place. She lives in a really fancy shared house with 5 other people. Most would say itβs out of my price range, but the truth is one extra student a month is enough to pay the difference. As part of my project, upgrading my life, I think this might be a really good choice. The fact is, the people that live there have a little more money than the people I currently know. They tend to know people more in the business world, well I know a lot more artists. They are much closer to the people Iβm targeting as potential students than the people I currently know. So Iβm thinking that maybe this will be a kind of investment in order to advertise my classes to my people. That doesnβt mean we have nothing in common. Iβve met a bunch of the roommates and I get along with them just fine. I worry about is that I just met this friend and the ways of thinking are rather similar, our culture, our group of friends, and our experiences could potentially clash. People like her friends and people like my friends tend not to get along. The only reason we do get along is that we both like making friends with people who are outside of our comfort zone. Another thing I consider is that for the same price I could easily rent my own apartment and live a really comfortable existence away from the issues that come with having roommates.I havenβt had my own place in years and to be paying this much feels a little bittersweet knowing that I could have my own place. And truth be told I probably shouldnβt be living somewhere at this cost with my current salary, but if only two students can first cover the difference and then also allow me to continue my current lifestyle more securely, shouldnβt I just go for it? The only way itβll be a problem is if I canβt find any students for the first two months Iβm living there. On the one hand it seems unlikely, on the other, Iβve only found one student these past two months since I raised my price. Part of me feels like moving there lead to an explosion in you students. One of my goals is also to help bring different kinds of people together and having this different group of friends will help me start doing that on a bigger scale. Anyways, Iβll stop by there tomorrow and take another look at the rooms and see what Iβm getting myself into. The past 48 hours Iβve spent almost entirely on my body. Itβs been difficult to keep up with whatβs going on and hive. I hope to be more consistent but it really all depends on the state of my health, you know how it is.

It's a big what-if, because if you're unhappy living with those people, you won't attract students. The best marketing is your vibe. At the same time, as an introvert I have to say that while living alone has always been great for me in key ways, when I was in a down vibe and living alone there was nothing to pull me out of it. I could indulge the collapsing of my energy for very long periods of time. Having roommates in that situation can be annoying, but they do challenge you to pull your energy up at least some times. So main thing to me is to stay where you are until your energy is thriving, including physical manifestation of it. Only move forward when something really draws you to it with an irresistible 'Yes!'

Well my energy is always a bit weird. Mentally and emotionally I feel great. But physically it's been 5 or 6 years since I've felt consistently good for a few weeks. I'm coming out of it slowly but it's a process. Part of me feels like I need to upgrade the rest of my life and my body will recover faster in a better environment. But yeah, it is a big what-if. I really enjoy time with this friend, but I feel like sometimes we have massive culture shock and I worry if we lived together it would be amplified. As for an irresistible yes, I had that for 2 days and then it started to die down haha

What @indigoocean said because she said it so well. When thinking about money I've always felt that if I have pressure about getting by, financially, it kills my creativity and if that is what determines the fact that can I pay my bills, I'm in trouble. But it's great to hear that you do have such exiting new opportunities and options to choose from. βΊ

That's exactly why I put building a company as a priority this year. I had the option to spend corona finishing my novel or building a company and I went with the latter cause if I didn't I would have had two months and then I'd be back to struggling to survive.

I think that was a good decision. I mean the way things are now, who knows how things are going to go from here. Worse or much worse.

How long have you known this friend for? Do you think moving in together at this stage in your relationship is a good idea? π€£ Moving in with interesting friends sounds like it could be a lot of fun! Alternately if for the same price you can rent your own apartment would doing that and hanging out at friend's place (and perhaps sometimes crashing if your gatherings run late) be an option? Could that also lead to an explosion of students? I still think exploding students is potentially messy Hope you get the insight bursts or whatever you need to work out what you need to do :D <div class="pull-right">https://technonaturalist.net/sites/default/files/styles/sensible_display/public/art/2019/09/heartfyn_0.png?itok=QHDoN0HE</div>

i know what you mean, but the nature of these shared apartments is that you can't usally choose your roommates anyway. The private apartment is also a huge commitment with a 2 year contract and 4-6 months paid upfront only 2 of which I'd get back if I don't finish the contract. and probably 1 month rent I won't get back either way. It's more for the added space and exposing myself to different kinds of people in general than particularly for this friend

Ahh I see. If you think you can cope with the housemates and the rent then it sounds like an interesting opportunity that you could make use of at least for the short term? Have you been yet? How is it looking and feeling?
