I don't know about censorship and was oblivious to most woke issues until I came across twitter. I entered the blockchain expecting to earn from my side hobby but what I got was more lessons, network, and access to more information most people who aren't into crypto aren't aware of. I think it's really the mindset of how one starts out on this platform in general and how they come to evolve based on who they interact within the platform. 

I wouldn't have cared much about curating or engaging other users if I wasn't interested in learning the system and get better at navigating it. I think it's understandable to market Hive as anti-censorship but people will find ways to be heard even in a centralized platform if they really wanted to yell. What we need is more variety to offer to attract a wider demographic and unfortunately, most people don't care about censorship until they lost their voices.

I'm totally cool with removing the blogging for rewards layer because most users just add to the selling pressure and helps the Hive price tank. They either exchange it for another token or feed themselves (which is understandable because some people are really desperate) but these unfortunately contribute to the low prices overall.

I also agree that we don't want to advertise HIVE as the censorship resistant zone of the internet where any crap can be posted as freedom of speech.  A lot of the times when you try to force thigs into being it ends up negatively affecting things abruptly. 

Just imagine if all the Trump protestors started posting on HIVE, all kinds of hate and disrespect. ( Doubt that would happen ) But imagine getting popular for that? Then comes the delisting's and then HIVE is this rogue unruly place, akin to the dark web. 

so a balance in the way we promote this "immutability" is necessary. 

i think now it's the best time to market the shit out of hive and leo. We got the twitter censorship and the rise of cryptos. it's the perfect opportunity. We can't just wait for people to discover us cause that's not that easy if you ask me.

In order for example to find steemit back in days, i am have searched through 15-20 different articles :p

There seems to be a bigger picture that is contained in this message especially in the mentioning of tweeter but this seems like something that can only be fished out by those that have been here for a long time.

That notwithstanding, I think I can dabble around your message especially in the area of that comparison between BTC and hive.

I'm not a Crypto expert neither do I know much about it but the little l have been able to know so far shows that a lot of people believe in hive and it's currency and I've also seen a lot of people that are powering up and all these are the things that would amount to the overall sustainable growth of this platform and it's Crypto token.

On the other hand, we still can't stop some people from criticizing the platform and what it stands for. They will see it as their right to do what they want but l'm sure that those that focus on growing this platform will have more reasons to rejoice
