Time for a Recharge

Today was a nice break after yesterday. Between all the steeming and market checking and trying to remain sane and help others do the same, and work-work and being a social creature and and crappy instant food I ate and beer I drank right before bed, yesterday must have taken a toll on me.

Today I rolled around in bed. I woke up at 8 and tried to start my day but collapsed back into bed around 10 and slept until 3. That never happens. Then I woke up and tried meditating for a bit. I spent the whole day listening to music, watching old Star Trek and reading books. How long has it been since I’ve done that! It was awesome! I don’t think I checked steemit once after I woke up the second time.

Yesterday was truly awesome steeming though. I got some incredible comments, almost 5 pages worth! It made me feel like a big deal but more importantly it let me know that what I write sometimes reaches others which is why I write in the first place. Major thanks to @gillianpearce for consistently leaving wonderful comments on my posts. She’s new here and a pleasure to meet so I just wanted to say something (cough...follow her!). And huge thanks to everyone else who bothers to share your own ideas and experience in response to the posts I spend more time and effort on (there were two yesterday, [the second](https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@whatamidoing/navigating-your-reality-being-emotionally-ready-for-a-crypto-crash-part-2) was my favorite to write in a while, perhaps I shouldn’t have posted itnso soon after the first as it was pretty heavy).

I’ll be back to my hardcore steeming tomorrow. After a little browsing I’m off to rest again. I’m glad to know all of you and glad we made it through yesterday, of course we did!

Crypto crashed!  Hahah you didn’t know?  It’s since made half a recovery but it was really ugly for a day or two.

We all need a break sometimes I guess. Even if I am a machine, I do too!

Nope, I don't pay attention to that kind of thing (aside from cursory glances at the things that pop up in the sidebar on busy when collecting the wallet because the button is under them) XD

Hey @whatamidoing, found you via a comment on an old post from 3-months back. Here's what you said:

Hahha wow.  Well a lot has changed, I’ve been putting a lot of effort into steemit now, I get some attention though not always on the posts I’d like.  I found that I’d i focused on making the kind of friends I want to make here, everything else kind of works itself out.  So I Steem almost next full time but I am a lot more random and relaxed about the quality of my posts.  Some are gold, some are crap, and I try to treat payout as an afterthought.  When I feel like writing fiction, I’ll do that, but I actually enjoy searching for new ways to engage with people here.
