Critical bug in Intel processors. Intel Corporation stocks price drops by 6% in 4 hours. Did someone in intel know about it much earlier?

A critical error was found in the architecture of Intel procecsors. The error results in a memory leak from the system's kernel. This error can not be fixed by updating the cpu microcode. The required patch may reduce processor performance from 5% to 52%

Cloud computing services like Amazon EC2 or Microsoft azure  will suffer in particular because the performance of services such as Redis or postgresql can go down by as much as 30%.  After this news, Intel's share price fell by almost 6%, which is a very large drop in the case of the technology market. Interestingly, one of the most important people in intel, Diane Bryant, recently left the company moving to Google. The question was whether she knew about the error gap before her departure?
