Well the Brave Wallet is okay but does not allow you to store the BAT you make from the Brave ads that pop up. You need an Uphold or a Gemini wallet for that (Gemini only in US). You need to link that wallet to your browser and then you will receive the BAT you make from the ads in a wallet that allows you to actually monetize them. But as only 48 countries are supported for these wallets many people earn BAT for the ads and canΒ΄t monetize that BAT. 

That is why I started this service, and also to make a bit of BAT myself. They are not worth much now, but with an ARH of $1.80 and good future prospects any BAT I make might be interesting next bull run.

Does that work across different browsers? So for example if I have Brave installed on my machine at home and my machine at work?  I will have to check out Gemini.  I feel like every time I set up my BAT wallet it gets reset and I have to keep setting it up over and over again.

According to the Brave Community, you can add 4 devices to the same Uphold account, so I assume that applies to Gemini as well. I think Uphold is also supported in the US, but the only reason to use it is because it will allow you to monetize your BAT
