Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. We need to understand a principle of life that the more we try to please others at the expense of ourselves, the more we are displeased about ourselves. At the point where your personal development have to be dependent on other people's opinions, judgment and validation, it may be very difficult for you to grow and be happy about yourself and everything about you. Well, sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.

For some years now, I have been tirelessly working to be a better person in some areas of my life that I see that I'm weak. I get this self-fulfillment and satisfaction when I look back back and see how much progress I have made so far in my life. I use to live my life to please others at the expense of my happiness in the past. I always find it difficult to say NO to people, mostly because I do not want to be perceived as offensive, not caring and so on. I wanted everyone to be pleased with my actions, which is not possible in actual facts. There are times when I will get phone calls from friends who need monetary support from me, even though I do not have it in excess, I'd still take from what I have, and cut down my budget for that period.

Some life experiences made me understand that it is impossible to satisfy human beings and no extent that you try to go for their sake, it is not going to be sufficient for them. They'd still talk about you in a bad way to others. I observe that the more I try my best to please people, the more their demands becomes high and difficult to meet up with. At some point, I was losing my mind when I see how unappreciative people are and it affected my self-esteem. I was beginning to see myself as worthless. However, I'm thankful for the decision to stop pleasing people at the expense of my own happiness in life and since then I have been more confident about myself and my life as a whole.

I learnt to talk, speak, dress, eat, drink in my own way and not constantly consciously trying to please people. This made me more confident in myself due to the fact that I do not pay attention to side comments or opinions about me (too much). I do not bother about people's validation of my life as far as I did what I did after carefully making the decision.
We'd be forced to question everything about our life if we let people's opinions about us affect our life. You may question your decision about your career, relationship and so on if you fail to develop your self-confidence. You'd think that the opinions of people about you are right and you are wrong.
