Do you want to pull your kid from school but are afraid of homeschooling 24/7? There is another option. At least there is here in St. Paul MN.
My wife and I hated sending our child to school, we hated having teachers that didn't understand our daughter or our situation.

When My daughter was in Kindergarten I ended up in jail for 2 short months. My daughter didn't know how to handle it. She started acting out in school to say the least. She missed me dearly, however the school decided that she was learning disabled and put her in special education classes instead. They then kept her in special education for all of 1st grade and 2nd grade as well even though things were getting better. We moved to a different city looking at a fresh start so we didn't mention the special education part at the new school. She is a great little girl very smart, had a 6th grade reading level at the start of 3rd grade. Well half way through 3rd Grade someone in the school ran her record and saw the special education part and immediately tried putting her in special ed. again!!
This time we adamantly refused Special edu. and everything to do with it. After that it seems they started treating our daughter different. She would have a hard day and be defiant to the teachers/principal. So the school would forcibly remove my daughter from the classroom. This didn't sit well with us so we had a meeting with the principle, the principle said, "When I walk into any classroom the kids know someone's in trouble. When I get called action must be taken!"
We told her you will not lay a finger on my daughter EVER again! And she said they have trained professionals do it she has never touched our daughter. The justifications these people use is shocking! Again we stated I don't care trained or not NOONE will lay a hand on our daughter!!

So why why when the principal comes in does violence have to take place? We asked her Why instead can't there be a discussion? Why can't you ask my daughter what's happening? What is bothering her? Why do you have to physically move her! I don't even do that, I'll be damned if I'm going to allow someone else to assault my child, my flesh and blood!
Why can't this situation turn into a learning experience for the whole class? Conflict resolution might be more important lesson than math or science at the moment.
When did the principal in her life go from being a teacher who wanted to help kids learn and better themselves, to an enforcer with complete disregard for a child's well being.
After the principal and staff dragged my daughter out of class, the other students cast her to the side. Oh she's the one with problems. When some of the conflicts happened because a kid hit her, she would tell the teacher, the teacher would try to sweep it under the rug by saying it's no big deal get in line. And then my daughter would just break down.
Schools teach children don't be a bully, only I can be the bully. Similar to government so similar.

So this year we found a new school called Cyber Village Academy.
It is a hybrid school with 3 days in school Mon. Tues. Wed. and then Thursday and Friday are online at home days!!
It is the perfect solution where my wife and I can try homeschooling a bit without being in over our heads. If you live in St. Paul or Minnesota please please please try and get your child enrolled here. They love Quirky Kids!! I love them so far my daughter is starting the 4th grade in a class size of 6 children! And she is the only girl!
This is an amazing solution to parents like me who are fed up with the public school system, and have never homeschooled before!
