What a stunner! Microsoft buys **ZeniMax Media**, the company that owns the video game publisher **Bethesda**, which is known for titles like <a href="https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/">Elder Scrolls Online</a>, <a href="https://fallout.bethesda.net/">Fallout</a> and <a href="https://bethesda.net/en/game/doom">DOOM</a> for sweet 7.5 billion Dollars!

Creators of critically acclaimed and best-selling gaming franchises including The Elder Scrolls and Fallout among many others, Bethesda brings an impressive portfolio of games, technology, talent, as well as a track record of blockbuster commercial success, to Xbox.
Under the terms of the agreement, Microsoft will acquire ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion in cash."

But most important, what does that mean for us #gamers ?!
First, it's a big deal for all XBox players. I think it's safe to asume that Microsofts Game Pass will include more Bethesda titles.
Second, upcomming titles like "Elder Scrolls 6" and "Starfall" MIGHT be XBox exclusive, which probably kinda sucks for those who plan to buy the next Playstation.
Third, Microsofts plans to have more power in the gaming market are not new but yet not really existing (besides <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/microsoft-flight-simulator/9nrrjllxm68v">MS Flight Simulator 2020</a> and the <a href="https://forzamotorsport.net/">Forza Series</a>) which will definetly change now.

So far, chairman and CEO of Bethesda, Robert A. Altman, sees huge potential in this aquisition.
