A few years ago, I believe that one of my biggest frustrations while working as a teacher was having to limit the content of what I taught within a classroom to just one specific class. Obviously, the content levels had to be delimited for each class, but the fact that only a single class within the school had access to that particular knowledge always made me think how collective this could all be.

When I refer to collective, I refer to different rooms receiving the same type of content at the same time. A glimpse of how this could happen happened during the coronavirus pandemic, but at that time I was no longer working as a teacher and I didn't have this virtual teaching experience. However, I have had isolated experiences with private classes, but always maintaining my belief that knowledge should be plural.

Thus, one of the things I would like to see happening within education (especially here in Brazil) has to do with this automated plurality of knowledge, where a single teacher would be able to expand their knowledge to students (focusing on in the low-income population) in a more humanized way. Unfortunately, here in Brazil this would require Herculean challenges, ranging from access to the internet to the acquisition of computers.

Another challenge would be to scale the participation of teachers up to date with the technical part of this challenge, because the vast majority of them are not yet part of the current generation that is more connected with this cyber universe. Another challenge would be to create a program that connects teachers and education networks in a way with less bureaucracy and economic interests. The idea would be to spread knowledge in a deep-rooted way everywhere.

Particularly speaking, I believe that we are not far from this, but predatory capitalism (from the factory that would deliver these products to the schools and universities that would buy them, and would certainly establish all the most viable ways of making money and also “retaining” knowledge from their teachers) would tend to destroy a more collaborative vision of my idea, so, in the meantime, I can only continue to believe in current education.

Hace unos años, creo que una de mis mayores frustraciones mientras trabajaba como docente era tener que limitar el contenido de lo que enseñaba dentro de un aula a solo una clase específica. Obviamente, los niveles de contenido tenían que ser delimitados para cada clase, pero el hecho de que sólo una clase dentro de la escuela tuviera acceso a ese conocimiento en particular siempre me hizo pensar en lo colectivo que podía ser todo esto.

Un vistazo de cómo podría suceder esto ocurrió durante la pandemia de coronavirus, pero en ese momento ya no trabajaba como docente y no tenía esta experiencia de enseñanza virtual. Sin embargo, he tenido experiencias aisladas con clases particulares, pero siempre manteniendo mi creencia de que el conocimiento debe ser plural.

Por lo tanto, una de las cosas que me gustaría que sucediera dentro de la educación (especialmente aquí en Brasil) tiene que ver con esta pluralidad automatizada de conocimientos, donde un solo maestro podría expandir sus conocimientos a los estudiantes (centrándose en los de bajos ingresos). población de ingresos) de una manera más humanizada. Há alguns anos, eu acredito que uma das minhas maiores frustrações enquanto eu trabalhava como professor, era ter que limitar o conteúdo do que eu ensinava dentro de uma sala de aula apenas uma turma em específico. Obviamente, que os níveis dos conteúdos tinham quer ser delimitados para cada turma, mas o fato de só uma única turma dentro da escola ter acesso aquele determinado conhecimento sempre me fez pensar o quanto isso tudo poderia ser coletivo.

Quando eu me refiro a coletividade, eu me refiro a diferentes salas recebendo o mesmo tipo de conteúdo ao mesmo tempo. Um vislumbre de como isso poderia acontecer aconteceu durante a pandemia do coronavírus, mas nessa época eu já não trabalhava mais como professor e não tive essa experiência de ensino virtual. No entanto, já tive experiências isoladas com aulas particulares, mas sempre mantendo o meu pensamento de que o conhecimento deveria ser plural.

Dessa forma, uma das coisas que eu gostaria de ver acontecendo dentro da educação (em especial, aqui no Brasil) tem a ver com essa pluralidade automatizada do conhecimento, onde um único professor seria capaz de expandir os seus conhecimentos para os alunos (com foco na população de baixa renda) de uma maneira mais humanizada. Infelizmente aqui no Brasil isso demandaria desafios hercúleos, que iriam desde o acesso a internet a aquisição dos computadores.

Outro desafio seriam escalonar a participação de professores atualizados com a parte técnica desse desafio, porque a grande maioria deles ainda não faz parte da geração atual que está mais conectada com esse universo cibernético. Um outro desafio seria criar algum programa que conectasse os professores e as redes de ensino de um modo com menos burocracias e interesses econômicos. Particularmente falando, eu acredito que não estamos longe disso, mas o capitalismo predatório (desde a fábrica que entregariam esses produtos até as escolas e universidades que os comprariam, e certamente estabeleceriam todas as formas mais viáveis de ganhar dinheiro e também “reter” conhecimento dos seus professores) tenderia a destruir uma visão mais colaborativa da minha ideia, então, enquanto isso, só me resta continuar acreditando na educação vigente.
