January 24th. - Last Day Of Chemo - Cycle 6 Comming to an End

Another day of migrating birds. I do enjoy seeing nature in all its forms.

In addition to the Chemo today we will do a Bone supplement (zoneta , treats damage caused by cancer in the bones). This is the third time we have had this treatment. I had to order more pain pills because it is a painful treatment. 😣

We will keep doing the labs on Tuesday until further notice. It might not be necessary to do the tests on a weekly basis and extending it a bit. Not being tethered on a weekly basis would be nice, but we are not there yet.

Palliative Care will kick in now that the chemo is done. We will see how often they will come to the house for follow up. We should get more information as the day progresses.

We will get another round of the boost to the immune system. The one shot per day for 7 days shots that I have been doing at home every couple of weeks.

Chemo is a hard thing to go through. I am so grateful that this is the last day of chemo. In a couple of weeks I should be able to do some strength and muscle exercises. This should also help with stamina. Things are moving forward in overcoming SCLC. In time things could get back to some kind of normalcy. Right now is all in the court the cancer spreading again and when. ( Recurrence )
We are in a very good position to handle it or anything that comes or way if or when it comes back. A much better position then when we started.

I wonder what is for lunch today. You would think they would have a menu posted somewhere . They most likely do , but where it is I just don’t know or really care. We have 20 minutes and we will be looking at it.

Have to take these shots for the next seven days and they do increase the pain levels. Pain pills will help with that.
Been sleeping more but that is from the chemo. It’s a good thing
Lot of stress on wife. Very emotional time
My weight has increased to 230 lbs and muscle is returning. That is an important achievement, almost as important as hair growth 😂 😆

The bone IV is to strengthen the bone itself. Promote both growth.

The booster is a series of shots that increase bone marrow and WBC. To include what makes up the WBC.
Damn Booster thing is painful and just as bad as chemo

I can get a lot more info if you need it
I might have a very bad cancer but I am blessed. And have lived a blessed life
